Background / History
Tang San was born in Nuoding City as the illegitimate son of Tang Miao and Tuoba Xi, the head of the Tuoba Family. As a young child, he displayed unusual maturity and retained memories and ambitions from a previous life, including a determination to restore the Tang Sect’s glory 190 191.
After Tang Miao informed Tuoba Xi of Tang San’s talent, Tuoba Xi’s legitimate wife, Huyan Lian, arranged an attack on mother and child. Tang Miao was killed, while Tuoba Xi saved Tang San, avenged her death, and concealed Tang San in Nuoding City under the name Tang Chi. Tang San entered Nuoding Academy as a work-study student, carrying grief, hatred, and a growing fixation on strength 192.
At Nuoding Academy, Tang San met Xiao Wu. Their initial fight ended in a draw, but they later defended the work-study students together against aristocratic bullies. Though initially distant, they developed a deep bond through repeated conflicts and cultivation 192 193 194.
Tang San left Nuoding City for Shrek Academy after reaching level 32. At Shrek, he entered the seed team, revealed his circumstances to Flender, and clashed with Dai Mubai before gradually learning to cooperate with him in team battles 194 196 197. Following a draw against Tianxing Academy, he began studying Soul Tool technology to improve his Tang Sect hidden weapons rather than abandon them 200.
Xiao Wu’s later sacrifice shattered Tang San emotionally. He entered the City of Slaughter, where he survived through slaughter and devouring Fallen Ones. Over years of violence, his desire for revenge overtook his restraint, culminating in the inheritance of the Rakshasa God Position 207 211.
Appearance
Tang San was a delicate-looking child with clear skin and exceptionally calm eyes. Prolonged immersion in slaughter later gave him a pale, sinister appearance, a malicious expression, and an aura described as dangerous and fallen 190 208.
- Initially wore patched or ordinary civilian clothing in Nuoding City 190 191.
- His Man Faced Demon Spider possession manifests a dark-purple spider phantom and eight spear-like legs 191.
- His Golden Dragon transformation produces golden scales marked by dark-purple demonic patterns, along with dragon claws, horns, and tail 209.
- Bears a dark-purple Rakshasa Spirit Trial mark on the back of his hand 208.
Personality
Tang San is vigilant, patient, and intensely self-driven. As Tang Chi, he kept a low profile, cultivated alone, and used Tang Sect techniques to evade surveillance and traps set by Huyan Lian 194. He is also highly adaptive: after recognizing the limitations of traditional hidden weapons against Soul Tools, he chose to study and integrate Soul Tool principles rather than reject them 200.
His defining motivation is revenge. Tang Miao’s death shaped his early resolve, while Xiao Wu’s sacrifice pushed him into despair and eventually into the City of Slaughter. There, repeated killing and devouring twisted him into an irritable, arrogant, and increasingly merciless Fallen One who envied happiness and beauty in others 192 207 208.
Abilities & Skills

- Spider God Transformation — his Third Soul Skill, used to forcibly strengthen himself in battle 206.
- Eight Spider Lances — a growth-type External Soul Bone obtained from a nearly three-thousand-year Man Faced Demon Spider; its eight legs carry potent poison 197 200 206.

- Man-Faced Spider Emperor — the evolved form of his spider Martial Soul after his seventh-ring breakthrough 208.
- Spider True Form — acquired from his hundred-thousand-year seventh Soul Ring 208.
Soul Tool and Hidden-Weapon Craft
After Tianxing Academy’s Soul Tools exposed the limitations of his traditional weapons, Tang San began adapting his methods 200.
- Studies introductory Soul Tool theory, energy circuits, materials, and Soul Guiding Arrays 200.
- Reforges Godly Zhuge Crossbow bolts with hundred-forged metal.
- Attempts to engrave Soul Guiding Arrays into hidden-weapon bolts.
- Achieves a modest improvement in penetration and Soul Power carrying capacity despite repeated failures 200.

- His patricide and matricide during the blood-sacrifice ritual greatly increase his affinity with the Rakshasa God Position 210.
- He becomes a First-level Deity upon completing the Ninth Trial, but cannot properly control his newfound divine power against Yu Tianquan 211.
