Origin and Long Recovery

Gu Yuena was born from the Dragon God’s division. Severely injured during the Divine War Era, she spent most of her existence fleeing or sleeping rather than accumulating experience as an active ruler. Her enormous dragon body recovered beneath the Lake of Life, sustained by its concentrated Life Force 91 92.

Despite her limited worldly experience, she bore responsibility for reviving the Dragon Clan and finding a future for Soul Beasts. She initially lacked a complete understanding of the Dragon God’s fall and did not know that the prohibition against Beast Clan godhood originated with the Dragon God himself 92.

Awakening and Investigation

The Ice, Fire, and Thunder Dragon Kings’ auras within Yu Yuanchen stirred Gu Yuena from her slumber. She recognized the restored Dragon King’s Crown and realized that he had refined Ice and Fire Dragon Power into his bloodline. Finding the fallen Dragon Kings’ burial ground offered a possible means of accelerating her recovery 91.

Rather than accept Di Tian’s proposal to capture him, she chose to investigate personally. Her human avatar housed her primary consciousness, while a thread of instinctual will remained behind to sustain her sleeping dragon body. This arrangement concealed her Soul Beast nature from the God Realm’s inspections 91 92.

Her first encounters with humanity were awkward: she took fruit without understanding payment, misread social boundaries, and spoke with disarming bluntness. After learning basic customs, she investigated Dragon City but found no trace of the Ice Fire Dragon Kings’ remains. Yu Yuanchen’s secluded routine led her to approach Ye Zhilan instead 92.

From Infiltration to Cooperation

Gu Yuena initially manipulated a malicious Soul Emperor into attacking Ye Zhilan, intending to stage a rescue and gain her trust. The plan failed when Ye Zhilan defeated him herself. More importantly, Gu Yuena recognized Ye Zhilan’s bond with Star Eater as a genuine symbiotic contract rather than forced control 93.

The discovery changed her priorities. A reproducible contract could let Soul Beasts benefit from humanity’s faster cultivation, strengthen their race, and perhaps provide a route toward godhood. She placed this possibility above her immediate search for the Dragon Kings’ remains 93.

Abandoning staged encounters, she openly introduced herself as Gu Yue of the Myriad Beast Sect. The sect did not actually exist; its supposed secluded history disguised her relationship with the Star Dou Great Forest’s Soul Beasts. She proposed joint research and subsequently became a resident researcher at the new Beast Taming Research Institute 94 97.

Working with Ye Zhilan, she helped develop the initial Soul Power Resonance Contract. Their collaboration later expanded into the proposed Dual Form Contract, intended to reconcile accelerated cultivation with Soul Beasts’ physical growth. Meanwhile, her assessment of Yu Yuanchen changed from a potentially useful human to an ally with God King potential 97 123.

Saint Demon Continent

After the Beast Taming Method’s completion, Gu Yuena cultivated near the Star Dou Great Forest’s core and continued facilitating contracts through the Myriad Beast Sect identity. She intended to develop her human form to its limit before returning to her true body 151.

She joined the expedition to Saint Demon Continent, located a secluded peak for Yu Yuanchen’s Godhood Tribulation, and helped guard him. During the group’s stay with the Temple Alliance, she studied the Magic Temple’s approach to elemental manipulation, learning from spell models rather than relying solely on inherited authority 160 161 166.

After attaining the Spirit-level Domain, she participated in the battle against the Planar Spirit. Her Elemental Authority disrupted its elemental control and reduced its fighting capacity by nearly twenty percent. She survived the battle and received a share of the Plane Origin 168 170 171.

An Independent Path and God Realm Reconciliation

Over the years, Yu Yuanchen supplied Immortal Spiritual Qi to help heal her wounds and discussed the dangers of attempting to recreate the Dragon God. Gu Yuena understood that fusion with the Golden Dragon King might produce an unknown being rather than restore the original Dragon God, but she struggled to abandon that possibility 191.

Yu Tianquan’s mutated Silver Dragon Martial Soul supplied the proof she needed: it had begun transcending the Dragon God’s bloodline limits. Inspired by this, she resolved to pursue a path belonging to Gu Yuena herself, rather than remain defined as a fragment of the Dragon God 191.

After the final God Realm conflict, Yu Yuanchen gave her the remaining Golden Dragon King Bloodline essence. She strengthened her physical body, broke her inherited shackles, and became a true God King. Her efforts, supported secretly by Yu Yuanchen, also loosened the Beast Clan’s prohibition against godhood enough for beings with roughly five hundred thousand years of cultivation and sufficient foundations to ascend. Gu Yuena’s cold dignity conceals inexperience rather than constant calculation. Having spent much of her life injured and asleep, she initially understands little of human etiquette, money, or emotional expression. She is deeply committed to her race’s survival. Observing humanity’s reproductive capacity and cultivation speed alarms her, but witnessing a successful symbiotic contract makes her reconsider the assumption that humans and Soul Beasts must remain enemies. She is willing to put a promising future for the entire race ahead of her personal recovery 92 93.

Her pride makes admitting mistakes difficult. During research, she sometimes pouts, insists on her conclusions, or privately rationalizes an embarrassing misunderstanding.
