Blood Scripture

After a small trial, having finished refining ordinary herbal medicine, Styx used the low-grade spiritual herbs within the Formation Space for further refinement. After all, these spiritual herbs and Spiritual Roots had grown in the Blood Sea, so their qualities were relatively uniform. Most were blood-aspected or soul-aspected, while some purification-type herbs had emerged due to the principle that extremes reverse.

Thus, aside from differences in grade, the medicinal pills had similar affinities, and their uses were not much different from those of low-grade pills. Old Ancestor Styx easily refined quite a few first-revolution and second-revolution soul-aspected and blood-aspected medicinal pills, corresponding to the Earth Immortal and Heavenly Immortal realms. He could not refine any higher-grade pills, as his cultivation was insufficient. Old Ancestor Styx used only one pill of each kind to test its medicinal properties and stored away all the rest. After all, what currently restricted his cultivation was the Heaven and Earth Shackles, not this small amount of mana.

After refining the medicinal pills, Old Ancestor Styx organized his insights into alchemy, then returned to the Twelve-grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus to contemplate the realizations he had gained from studying formations, alchemy, and artifact refinement during this period. His realm also began to loosen.

Old Ancestor Styx immersed himself even more deeply in sorting through them. In the blink of an eye, three Eons quietly passed! Old Ancestor Styx's realm had stabilized at the Profound Immortal Early Stage. He had also fully absorbed all the realizations from this period...

Thinking over recent events, Old Ancestor Styx realized that every time he needed something, he had to search through the inheritances in his mind. It was far too cumbersome, and made it difficult for him to integrate everything. After giving it some thought, Old Ancestor Styx suddenly recalled computer folders from later generations. They stored all kinds of knowledge by category, so he could simply look for whichever one he needed.

Although this was cultivation rather than technology, cultivators possessed methods far beyond anything technology could accomplish. Why not create such a file system himself? Not only would it make the inheritances clear and orderly, but the process of organizing them would also be a process of learning!

Thus, Old Ancestor Styx entered meditation and carried out a thorough reorganization of the inheritances in his mind, his cultivation insights from this period, and his realizations regarding formations, alchemy, and artifact refinement.

In the end, Styx combined his cultivation insights from this period with the Dao Resonance of the Three Thousand Chaos Demon Gods in his mind and the incomplete chapters of Great God Pangu's Nine Revolutions Profound Origin Technique. Through their gradual collision, he summarized a cultivation method suited to himself and created cultivation paths for the Earth Immortal and Heavenly Immortal realms!

Old Ancestor Styx named this cultivation method the Blood Scripture. Its main text was a body-tempering cultivation method that could cultivate both Nascent Soul mana and physical Blood Qi at the same time. The two complemented each other and could advance together.

He also compiled three Hundred Arts Scrolls, containing Old Ancestor Styx's insights into formations, alchemy, and artifact refinement, as well as formation techniques, pill formulas, and artifact-refining methods from the foundation stage up to the Heavenly Immortal realm!

There were also Three Thousand Miscellaneous Chapters, which recorded all the insights and experiences Old Ancestor Styx had gained from the incomplete inheritances of the Three Thousand Demon Gods!

After finishing the organization, Old Ancestor Styx considered how to record them. There was neither paper nor brush at this time, much less anything like memory crystals. There was not even writing yet, only Innate Dao Script, and Innate Dao Script could not be preserved on ordinary objects. However, cultivators possessed all manner of bizarre methods. Old Ancestor Styx turned his gaze toward the Blood God Fruit Tree and the Ghost Soul Treasure Tree—or, more precisely, toward their leaves and bark.

As High-grade Innate Spiritual Roots, preserving Innate Dao Script was an extremely simple matter for them. Thus, Old Ancestor Styx did not hesitate and immediately got to work. He first plucked leaves from both trees, then stripped off a little bark from each. Finally, he watered them with Yellow Springs Blood Water and soothed them for a while before beginning to process those materials. After all, Spiritual Treasures and Spiritual Roots all possessed Ling. They simply could not undergo Form Transformation, but they still had their own little emotions.

After Old Ancestor Styx's refinement, the bark and leaves were successfully refined into the shape of books. For now, however, they still resembled Wordless Heavenly Books, and their grade had yet to reveal itself. They were merely crude Spiritual Treasure embryos!

With everything prepared, Old Ancestor Styx began using his ordinary blood as ink, writing the organized scriptures onto the Wordless Heavenly Books in Innate Dao Script. As Old Ancestor Styx wrote, an intangible Fortune gathered toward the books. It was precisely a portion of the Fortune related to the Way of Enlightenment. After all, Old Ancestor Styx was writing the first books to exist after the opening of Heaven and Earth. They would benefit enlightenment, so Fortune naturally gathered.

As Old Ancestor Styx completed the final stroke, the intangible Fortune began tempering the Blood Scripture. Although the Great Dao did not bestow the Merit due for the birth of the first books because of the restrictions of Heaven and Earth, not a fraction of the Fortune that should have been granted was missing as it fused into the Blood Scripture. This book leapt in a single bound to become an Edification Supreme Treasure. Although its grade was limited to that of a Mid-grade Acquired Spiritual Treasure, the restrictions within it would continuously increase as Old Ancestor Styx further perfected it.

It would also be an enormous aid in future preaching, deduction, and practice!
