The reason the remaining two of the Four Great Primordial Fierce Insects, the Many-Eyed Golden Centipede and the Nine-Tailed Earth God Scorpion, were not well known in the Great Wilderness was mainly that one had most of its body left in Chaos, while the other had been struck head-on by the Pangu Axe, which obliterated most of its body.
The source essence that fell into the Great Wilderness was too little to support their powerful natures, so their reputations were not as formidable as those of Golden Cicada, born from the Six-Winged Golden Cicada, and Mosquito Daoist, born from the Blood-Winged Black Mosquito.
However, even with only a tiny portion of their source essence remaining, the Many-Eyed Golden Centipede and the Nine-Tailed Earth God Scorpion had not been completely destroyed at their core and successfully underwent Form Transformation in the Great Wilderness.
Moreover, during the Journey to the West era of the original Space-Time, they caused no small amount of trouble for the pilgrimage team.
Among them, the Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord, born from the surviving source essence of the Many-Eyed Golden Centipede, had merely relied on his incomplete Hundred Eyes Divine Light to torment Sun Wukong and all the gods until they were driven half-mad with pain and pleasure.
In the end, it was only through Prajnaparamita Bodhisattva's powerful restraining effect against him that he was finally subdued, allowing the pilgrimage team to successfully pass through that calamity.
By coincidence, the Scorpion Spirit, who had been transformed from the Nine-Tailed Earth God Scorpion and was likewise one of the Four Great Primordial Fierce Insects,
had already lost a great deal of its source essence to the Pangu Axe, leaving only one of its nine tails and greatly diminishing its divine abilities.
Yet it could still blast and injure Tathagata's finger,
