At ten in the morning on the third day, Xu Yun opened his eyes, looking utterly languid.
After working out the protein-binding region and binding formula the night before last, he had used the last of his energy to compile the relevant data and save it in an electronic document. Only after washing up had he finally climbed into bed.
To be honest, he'd worked on quite a few projects, but whether it was research or frantically churning out words before midnight to qualify for a perfect-attendance bonus, he'd never realized that mental labor could take such a physical toll.
He could only say that Old Master Newton had been far too formidable. His brain had been overloaded for a while.
After organizing the relevant materials, Xu Yun remembered that he and Qiu Sheng's team had agreed on a six-day timeline. Showing up the very next day would seem a little too eager, so he'd deliberately waited one extra day and planned to contact the lab that morning.
He'd done nothing at all during the day he waited. He'd played a few rounds of ARAM for the first time in ages, then gotten absolutely wrecked by Arcane Comet.
All right, back to the point.
After getting up and washing up, Xu Yun sat down and called the Biomedical Laboratory's landline.
A moment later, Qiu Sheng's voice came through:
"Hello, who's this?"
"Vice Squad for Combating Pornography. We received a report that a pervert named Qiu Sheng keeps posting lewd pictures in the group chat every day."
"Get lost!"
Hearing Qiu Sheng's friendly, harmonious greeting through the receiver, Xu Yun laughed too.
"Okay, Old Qiu, how's the synthesis of the attractant coming along?"
When Xu Yun brought up business, Qiu Sheng's tone gradually turned serious.
"We got it to 43 percent
