Background / History

Xiao Cha grew up as the daughter of Luo Heng, an honest and principled constable whose conduct made enemies within the Patrol Officer Bureau. After his death, she regretted her final words to him and resolved to avenge him. His old courtyard house, once equipped with martial-training gear, became neglected and overgrown after his absence. 38 68

She began the story as a Patrol Officer and Wan Qing’s childhood friend. Because Wan Qing’s gentle nature attracted danger, Xiao Cha took it upon herself to protect her, immediately treating the unidentified Lu Li as a potential threat. 6

Her pursuit of the Tooth Brokerage began after its agents targeted vulnerable children, including Tong Shao. Though her superiors obstructed her and the organization was protected by powerful figures, Xiao Cha continued investigating, captured a brokerage member for questioning, and committed herself to rescuing Tong Shao from Guo Zhuang. 17 27 28

During the conflict with Wang Naiwu, Xiao Cha discovered that the monster controlled by the sect disciple was her zombified father, Luo Heng. Facing him was a deeply personal ordeal that reinforced her determination to eradicate the forces exploiting Jinmen’s people. 77 78
