Real World.
The morning two days later.
The sun had just risen from the horizon, its brilliant flames illuminating the land.
Xian He appeared in the bedroom, carrying a sack of wood powder.
After placing the wood powder on the heated brick bed, he returned to the Inner World and brought out nine more large sacks of wood powder before stopping.
Ever since he had grown Muyang Trees in the Inner World, he had taken all the empty sacks at home to the Inner World, so he had no shortage of sacks.
Pushing open his front door, Xian He went to his next-door neighbor's house, intending to borrow his unique "Turtle King" wheelbarrow.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
Xian He knocked on the neighbor's courtyard gate and called out loudly, "Is Old Man Ji home?"
The neighbor's surname was Ji, and his name was Ji Bochang. He also had a younger brother named Ji Shuhao.
He wondered what their parents were thinking, giving them such names full of potential for mockery. They weren't even as nice as "Big Treasure" or "Second Treasure."
"Who is it?" A voice full of energy came from the crack in the door.
Xian He looked through the crack and saw Ji Bochang walking towards the door while pulling up his pants.
"It's me, your good neighbor Xian He!"
"Xian He?"
The door opened, revealing a burly middle-aged man.
"Come in, come in, I have something to tell you!" Ji Bochang pulled Xian He into the courtyard, peeked outside, and then closed the door.
"I want to borrow your wheelbarrow," Xian He said, standing behind Ji Bochang, stating his purpose.
Ji Bochang waved his hand and said solemnly, "We'll talk about that later. I want to ask you, what have you been doing these past two days?"
"Nothing much. I've been busy at home procreating the next generation," Xian He said without batting an eye. He had even procreated two!
Ji Bochang was stunned for a moment and said, "The morning before yesterday, I glimpsed two fierce-looking strangers sneakily leaving your house. Did they cause any trouble for you and your wife?"
"Strangers? And fierce-looking?" Xian He's heart skipped a beat. No wonder there were signs that his house had been disturbed after he returned home.
Ji Bochang speculated, "Perhaps they were thieves. Your house is in a remote location with few passersby, making it an easy target. Be careful lately, hide your valuables, they might even come back!"
"The cart is over there. Push it yourself. Remember to return it when you're done," Ji Bochang said, pointing to the base of the wall.
"Thank you, Old Man Ji!" Xian He smiled, cupped his hands, and pushed the cart away.
All the valuables at home had been moved to the Inner World. He figured those two thieves must have left in tears.
Then again, they might not have been thieves. Perhaps they were Xiao Yang's lackeys, looking for trouble.
Once he got the rice seeds, he would immediately return to the Inner World. If they wanted to cause trouble, they couldn't find him!
He loaded ten sacks of wood powder onto the wheelbarrow, secured them with a rope, and then pushed the wheelbarrow towards his father-in-law's house.
"I haven't helped Old Man sell wood powder porridge for two days. I bet he'll pick on me," Xian He muttered as he pushed the cart, wondering if a Crystal Pomegranate would appease him.
He wanted to sell this excellent wood powder to Old Man Yun, keeping the business within the family, to exchange for some Copper Coins to buy rice seeds.
This wood powder produced in the Inner World had a very good taste, almost like flour, and didn't irritate the throat at all. Selling it to Old Man Yun would surely help his business flourish.
When the children are a little older, when he has the strength to deal with Xiao Yang and his lackeys, he would bring the children and Yun Ling to visit Old Man Yun. It was still a bit dangerous to come out now.
He stopped the wheelbarrow at the porridge stall and shouted, "Dad! Your son-in-law has brought you some excellent wood powder! Come out and take a look!"
The porridge stall's business was a bit slow, with only a few scattered customers.
Ever since Yun Ling left, the porridge stall's business had plummeted.
If he were here, he could still help his father-in-law recover some losses with his Grandmaster-level cooking skills.
However, he had to be busy taking care of Yun Ling and the children.
"Look! It's Xian He, Old Man Yun's son-in-law."
"He hasn't shown up for two days. What was he doing? I've been waiting to drink the porridge he cooks!"
"What else could he be doing? Procreating with Yun Ling, of course, hehehe..."
The customers whispered amongst themselves, occasionally showing lewd smiles.
"You brat! You finally decided to show up? I thought you'd forgotten about this old man!" Old Man Yun said resentfully as he walked out of the kitchen, holding a large ladle.
Looking at the wood powder on the wheelbarrow, Old Man Yun asked curiously, "Where did you get so much wood powder? Hmm... it smells quite good."
"This is excellent wood powder I worked hard to get. It's a hundred times tastier than ordinary wood powder," Xian He exaggerated. "I'll give it to you cheap, one hundred Copper Coins per sack."
Hearing this, Old Man Yun was taken aback. "What? You want money?"
"Even brothers settle their accounts clearly. This wood powder didn't blow in with the wind," Xian He argued righteously. "So, do you want it or not? If not, I'll take it to the grain store."
Old Man Yun snorted. "If this wood powder is good, I'll definitely take it. Scoop me a few ladles first, and I'll cook some porridge to taste."
"Alright!" Xian He pushed the wheelbarrow to the kitchen door, untied the rope, took down a sack of wood powder, and carried it into the kitchen.
