Background / History

Yun Ling and Xian He grew up together in the Sky Fortune Tribe. When Xian He was bullied for his poor cultivation talent, Yun Ling repeatedly defended him; in return, he made toys for her and accepted punishment when she made mistakes. After ten years of companionship, the childhood sweethearts married in the tribe. 1

Following their wedding, Yun Ling entered the Inner World within the Mountain River Society Diagram and moved into Xian He’s Two-Courtyard Siheyuan. Though curious about the unfamiliar home and its conveniences, she was frightened by the darkness and wolves outside the courtyard. 5 6
