Xiao Wu shrank her neck and obediently began communicating with Er Ming.
Er Ming was clearly reluctant to part with her.
Xiao Wu stepped forward and patted Er Ming in comfort. "Be good. Go back first. I'll come back to see you often."
After much persuasion from her, Er Ming reluctantly left.
"I didn't expect you two to be so close," Lin Feng teased.
"They've always taken good care of me. They've always been good to me." Xiao Wu felt inexplicably saddened.
Lin Feng did not want to dwell on her past and directly changed the subject. "Are you coming in with me, or waiting here for me?"
"W-We're obviously going with you!"
Lin Feng nodded.
Although there should not have been any danger with Xiao Wu around, following Lin Feng was ultimately more reassuring.
Since Ah Yin's identity had already been exposed, he no longer needed to hide anything. "Big Sister Lan, we've reached your territory. Do you have any means of escaping my side?"
Before meeting Da Ming and Er Ming, she might truly have rallied her clansmen to help her escape this man's clutches.
But now, she had no choice but to consider her clansmen.
If she truly escaped, would he send that giant creature over to wreak havoc?
How would that be any different from exterminating her clan?
Perhaps in a deliberate attempt to please him, she wrapped herself around Lin Feng's arm with a hint of intimacy.
After chatting with him every day these past few days, she did not actually hate Lin Feng that much anymore.
Lin Feng's feelings toward her were no longer the same as at the start, when he had only wanted to use her as a shield.
The desire for revenge he had once harbored had mostly faded by now.
