Yu Yuanzhen is driven foremost by the prosperity, prestige, and survival of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Before Yu Xiaoheng's awakening, he dismisses his eldest son's commerce and body-refinement efforts as a waste of the clan's elite bloodline, while expecting him to awaken a powerful dragon Martial Soul. 3

As Sect Master, he can be ruthless and politically uncompromising.
