Watching the scene unfold before him, Gelman's mind briefly wandered from the tense situation to a curious math problem.
"Rift of Joy" kept letting out water, while "Evil Tenderfoot" kept sucking it in.
So how long would it take for the water to completely fill the sealed underground cavern?
Fortunately, Gelman didn't dwell on it for long before coming back to himself.
"Haah!"
Biscuit revealed her "Adamant Body" and, with a shout, unleashed a furious barrage of punches from "Mind Source Style."
She smashed several stone spears that had thrust out of the wall and tried to ambush Shizuku!
As the stone fragments clattered to the ground, she turned toward Gelman, who was some distance away.
"Go! I'll protect Shizuku. You, Ging, and Morel take care of the last enemy!"
Gelman didn't waste words. He nodded to Biscuit and Shizuku, then kicked off the ground and shot through the air toward the tower of "Rift of Joy" like an arrow loosed from a bow.
Rumble—
The closer he got to the tower, the more the ground crumbled, like tofu pounded to mush!
Gelman ignored the collapse. He released a small amount of "Nen Energy" from his toes, using it as a foothold as he leaped through the air.
Squeak, squeak, squeak—
Blue nerves swayed like branches, arcs of electricity flickering like a serpent's tongue, stretching and recoiling as they reached to lick Gelman!
Gelman raised the "Sacred Moonlight Greatsword," ready to act, but suddenly saw mist welling up before him!
The mist formed a sturdy white wall, blocking every blue nerve reaching for Gelman and preventing them from penetrating for the time being!
Several white serpentine paths stretched out from the wall.
One led straight to Gelman's feet, while all the others went to the tower of "Rift of Joy."
