The upper half of a Flesh Monster was flung high into the air, then slammed down and smashed into a pulp like a tomato.
Ging wiped his hand across his spiky hair and turned to Gelman. "Don't you feel like the enemies here are much weaker than before?"
"Yeah." Gelman tossed the enormous bull's head he was holding onto the ground and answered.
"The closer we get to the God of Flesh, the stronger His influence becomes, and the greater the Amplification after fleshification."
This was something the two companions had come to agree on. Everything they had seen and experienced along the way supported it.
But things were different here. The entire region seemed to be leaning further toward fleshification, yet the Flesh Monsters were gradually growing weaker.
It was strange.
They discussed it for a while but couldn't reach a conclusion, so they decided to press on and see what they found.
The world was becoming increasingly grotesque rather than natural. The plants and trees, birds and beasts—even stones, water, and the earth—had all mutated.
They had become flesh, turned scarlet, and transformed into swollen tumors and bloody water. Red filled their view, and a stench hung everywhere.
Gelman and Ging often had to cross pools of flesh as muddy as swamps and pass mountains of it, bloated with fascia and assembled from countless limbs and organs.
Repulsive chaos and a stench that filled the air were the hallmarks of this place.
As they cut down the Flesh Monsters harassing them and continued forward, they soon spotted a translucent membrane between the pulsing walls of flesh ahead.
Ging cut it open with his Nen Blade. They heard a bubbling sound as a huge mass of blood that had pooled behind it gushed out.
