Squeak, squeak, squeak—
Lightning flickered through the dark mist. Gelman swung his Thunder Hammer in a sweeping strike, and it slammed right into the blades of "Flesh's" double-headed axe!
Clang—
Another deafening crash, sparks scattering everywhere!
The difference in size between Gelman and "Flesh" made it look as if, in that instant, Gelman were being crushed beneath Mount Tai.
Yet Gelman stood firm against "Flesh's" earth-shattering blow. As their weapons clashed, he summoned a Thunder Dragon.
The Thunder Dragon roared and whirled, coiling around "Flesh" tighter and tighter before unleashing a relentless burst of lightning!
Squeak, squeak, squeak—
Lightning branched like new shoots and spread like a dense web, illuminating the blood-red world as bright as day!
"Grrraaaah—!"
With a furious roar, "Flesh" shook the Thunder Dragon—and Gelman along with it—off its body!
Countless chunks of flesh burst apart, while the stench of charred meat spread with the smoke.
Gelman was hurled into the distance, crashing through more than twenty Flesh Monsters before finally coming to a stop.
He immediately sprang back to his feet and, trampling through the blood-soaked ground, started back toward the battlefield. But after only a few steps, he stopped.
Wait. Wait.
Not so fast. Not so fast.
Stop. Stop.
Ignoring the Flesh Monsters that dared not approach, Gelman adjusted his breathing where he stood and gradually calmed himself.
He had nearly fallen into "Flesh's" rhythm, matching its pace and fighting faster and faster. It was easy to imagine how that would end.
With an angry roar, "Flesh" sent everything around it flying. It had already begun dragging its double-headed axe forward, ready to teach Gelman a lesson when he rushed in.
But, to its surprise, Gelman stopped where he was. He took a moment to recover, then slowly walked toward it.
This guy actually... Well,
