Yol had already made dinner. The three of them sat around the table, enjoying a lavish meal.

Sanpao lay on the floor, crunching away at a gigantic soy-braised bone.

"What happened to your eyes?"

Yol noticed Merlin's awkward movements as he picked up food and finally couldn't hold back from asking.

Merlin paused mid-motion, then stuffed a piece of chilled pig ear into his mouth.

He ate as he casually explained:

"I had a little accident while training and injured my eyes. My vision's blurry now, but I realized it could help train my senses.

So I haven't gotten them healed."

Yol relaxed at that, then gave him a reproachful look. Bracing her right hand on the table, she stood and leaned forward, waving her left hand gently in front of Merlin across the table.

But when she saw how Merlin barely blinked, she sighed helplessly.

"That's going to make everyday life pretty inconvenient."

Merlin took a bite of rice and smiled. "It's fine. In a couple of days, once I've gotten used to it, it won't affect my daily life anymore."

Lami, sitting beside Yol, looked at Merlin and sighed like a little grown-up.

"If that's the case, won't washing up and getting around be a lot of trouble for you these next couple of days, Brother Merlin?

Want me to help?"

Yol's brows lifted slightly, and a tender smile curled her lips.

"In that case, should I stay with you tonight? Just in case you get up to use the bathroom and fall?"

Merlin gave her an exasperated look and said irritably, "I can't see clearly. I'm not actually blind. If I want to, I can use my ability to see clearly for a little while."
