Yugi directly entered the Battle Phase.

"I'll use [Dark Knight Gaia the Fierce Wind] to attack [Rock Giant]! Spiral Spear Strike!"

As soon as Yugi finished speaking, Gaia charged forward on his warhorse, piercing through the Rock Giant with his spear.

He then waved his hand grandly at Noah and continued issuing attack commands.

"I'll use [Pluto Dragon Judgment God] for a direct attack on you!"

Pluto Dragon once again unleashed lightning towards Noah.

"Yeah! That's a win for Yugi!"

"Hmph! Losing to Yugi so quickly, this is all your skill amounts to..."

But was it really as Jonouchi and President Kaiba thought?

Yugi didn't think so, after all, Noah still had two Set Cards waiting.

As expected...

"I activate my Set Card, [Chaos Barrier - Chaos Field]! The effect of this Trap Card is that when an opponent's monster attacks, the opponent's monster with the highest ATK on the field must battle the monster with the lowest ATK, and after that battle, the Battle Phase ends."

The large wooden ship behind Noah slowly rose and opened its mouth, sucking in the two monsters that had been destroyed earlier.

This was the first time Yugi had heard such a term.

"I'm afraid not, Yugi. 'Containment' does not mean banishment. In other words, your monsters are neither in the Graveyard nor banished; they are being held by the Ark."

This was equivalent to Yugi's Graveyard being sealed. No wonder Noah was so confident in challenging Yugi. Fortunately, Yugi had changed his Deck, otherwise, he wouldn't have succeeded.

"Monsters that are 'contained' must have some other use, right? Otherwise, you wouldn't have waited until your own monster was destroyed to activate a Trap Card."

Yugi and King finally understood the strange maneuver from earlier.

"Alright, it's my turn."

Seeing that Yugi made no move, Noah forcibly ended his turn.

"My turn!"

"Heh..."

Noah's lips curled up as he looked at the card he drew.

"It's my turn to counterattack. I activate the Spell Card [Pot of Greed]! I draw two cards from my Deck."

Seeing him activate that card, Yugi's eyes immediately lit up.

"Excuse me, Noah. I have a Set Card to activate."

Saying that, Yugi immediately flipped over his Set Card.

"The moment you activate [Pot of Greed], I'll activate the Counter Trap [Retaliation] in response!"

When a card with the same name as a Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard is activated by your opponent, you can activate this card. Negate the activation and destroy it. After that, you can add 1 card with the same name as the card whose activation was negated by this effect from your Graveyard to your hand.

The Pot of Greed that had just appeared on Noah's field shattered instantly.

"What!?"

Noah's hand, which was preparing to draw a card, froze for a moment.

This foiled Noah's plan to replenish his hand and, worse, helped Yugi out, completely screwing him over.

"According to the follow-up effect of [Retaliation], I retrieve a card with the same name, [Pot of Greed], from my Graveyard."

The reason Yugi played such a nonsensical Trap Card was that he took into account that everyone would carry this versatile Pot of Greed. Once successfully activated, it could not only mess with the opponent, preventing them from replenishing their hand, but also allow him to retrieve a Pot of Greed that had already been used once from his Graveyard.

Yugi hadn't expected it to work out so smoothly.

With this, Yugi had gained two cards for free, and he was quite pleased.

Noah cursed loudly for the second time.

"Heh, losing your temper over this? You really are just a child."

Yugi first put away the card he just drew, then inserted the card he had retrieved last turn into his Duel Disk.

"I activate the Spell Card [Pot of Greed] once more, drawing two cards from my Deck."

After drawing two cards, the Pot of Greed that appeared on Yugi's field turned into fragments.

He then placed one of the cards from his hand onto his Duel Disk.

"I summon [Trickster Elf Swordsman] in Attack Position from my hand."

Accompanied by a flash of light, the cannon fodder swordsman was projected.

"Battle!"

Yugi immediately entered the Battle Phase. However, just as he was about to issue the attack command, two monsters suddenly appeared on Noah's field.

"The monsters that were destroyed are back? Is this also the ability of a Deck Master?"

Yugi asked in surprise.

"That's right. The second effect of the Deck Master [Miracle Ark] is 'Absolute Defense.' At the start of the opponent's Battle Phase, randomly select monsters contained within the Ark and Special Summon them in face-up Defense Position, based on the number of monsters on the opponent's field."

Since the Ark currently only contained two monsters, even with random selection, only these two could be summoned.

"What a ridiculous effect..."

Yugi remembered that [Miracle Ark] was a Ritual Spell, and it shouldn't have these strange effects. Therefore, he assumed these were all rules Noah had arbitrarily added.

Furthermore, Noah's actions didn't stop there. He flipped over the last face-down card on his field.

"I activate the Trap Card [Earthquake] again."

"Select 2 Attributes. Your opponent chooses 1 of them. Destroy all monsters of the chosen Attribute that are face-up on the field."

"Both players currently have monsters of the Earth and Dark Attributes on the field, so I choose these two attributes. Now, which monster will you keep?"

A smirk spread across Noah's lips.

If Yugi chose the Dark Attribute, Pluto Dragon, with the highest ATK, would be destroyed. If he chose the Earth Attribute, it would destroy the cannon fodder swordsman, which had battle destruction resistance.

So, no matter which option Yugi chose, Noah would benefit.

However, his thoughts were wishful thinking, and Yugi wouldn't fall for it.

"I'll take them both!"

With that, Yugi clicked the button and flipped over the card he had set last turn.

"At this moment, I activate the Trap Card [Recall Order]!"

All monsters on my field return to their owner's hand.

"You're recalling your own monsters!? But that leaves your field completely empty, while I still have monsters with a combined ATK of 3500 on my field. By next turn, your Life Points will be completely depleted, and that's when I win, hahahaha..."

Noah let out a triumphant laugh.

"No, you can't."

"Huh...?"

Yugi poured cold water on him, his smile freezing for a moment.

"Hmph! Are you out of your mind? Did you forget the card you just activated?"

President Kaiba said coldly from behind.

"The face-down card... Ah, right, the effect of [Earthquake] that was just activated hasn't been resolved yet..."

Noah finally realized, as Yugi's interruption had made him overlook it.

This way, no matter which attribute Yugi chose, he would still have Life Points remaining.

Soon, Yugi made his choice.

"I choose the Earth attribute, and I will destroy the Earth attribute [Rock Giant]."

Yugi chose something that surprised everyone.

"You picked the one with higher ATK? What exactly are you trying to do?"
