Tang Zhi Chu stopped arguing with Huang Ze Jun about whether the photo looked good.
He simply took the photo and walked away.
Huang Ze Jun had no idea what was going on, but he followed anyway.
It was a noodle shop. A couple sat across from each other, leaning forward and chatting intimately with smiles on their faces.
Tang Zhi Chu walked over slowly. Huang Ze Jun had no idea what he was up to, so he stopped to watch.
"Hello," Tang Zhi Chu greeted them first.
The couple looked a little wary. The woman said nothing, while the man turned to Tang Zhi Chu. "Hello?"
"Well, I'm learning photography, and we just happened to take a candid photo of you two. The light was just right, and I think it turned out especially well. I'd like to give it to you, if that's okay!" Tang Zhi Chu explained softly.
The couple didn't answer right away. They were clearly processing what Tang Zhi Chu had said.
Tang Zhi Chu added, "It's free. I'm not trying to sell you anything. I just think it'd be a shame not to give you this photo. It really looks great."
As he finished speaking, Tang Zhi Chu handed them the photo.
The couple gradually relaxed. A smile appeared on the man's face. "Really? Thank you."
The woman took the photo and glanced at it. Her face lit up, and she immediately showed it to her boyfriend.
After looking at it, the man smiled even more brightly. He took Tang Zhi Chu's hand. "Thank you! Thank you! Wow, this is really good. I thought—hahahaha."
After thanking him, the man looked at the photo several more times, as if he'd never really taken a good look at himself before.
