Lin Jin rose from a young recruit to a celebrated general, then returned to Heaven Dou City and reunited with Lin Xue while serving Qian Renxue. He began tightening his control over the City Defense Force as he searched for a cure for Lin Xue’s weakening condition.

• Lin Jin’s Immortal Demon Armor and Demon Blade awakened as he defended Lin Xue from an Evil Soul Master, and he took her to Qian Renxue for help.
• Qian Renxue healed Lin Xue, gave Lin Jin a new identity, and sent him to join Lei Ke’s Vanguard Camp, where Lin Jin gained strength and military merit.
• Lin Jin led the Blood Blade through major battles, defeated the Star Luo ambush at Black Snow Gorge, and earned the name Demon Wolf.
• Lin Jin proposed and carried out the Break the Spine operation, capturing Gray Rock City and poisoning Star Luo’s supplies before helping Qin Yue take Iron Rock Fortress.
• After Spirit Hall and Xue Ye ended the Northern Border campaign, Lin Jin returned to Heaven Dou City as a Count and took command of the City Defense Force’s Fifth Detachment.

Lin Jin took control of the Fifth Detachment, helped Qian Renxue expose Xue Xing’s treason, and brought Dugu Bo and Yang Wudi together to cure Xue Ye. After gaining allies and rare herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, he strengthened Lin Xue and Ye Lingling while consolidating his new authority in Heaven Dou City.

• Lin Jin challenged Odysseus’s hundred elite soldiers with Blood Blade, broke their formation, and earned Xue Ye’s appointment as Young Protector of the Crown Prince and authority over the Fifth Detachment.
• Lin Jin warned Yang Wudi that his clan could face a vast military threat, then persuaded him that Yang Wushuang may have leaked the Breaking Clan’s forbidden poison formula.
• Lin Jin and Qian Renxue used captured Star Luo assassins and fabricated evidence to implicate Xue Xing and Xue Beng in treason and the princes’ deaths, leading Xue Ye to order their arrest.

Lin Jin left Heaven Dou City to avenge his family and strengthen himself, earning a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring before entering Slaughter City. After winning one hundred arena matches and claiming the title of Slaughter God, he rejected the Slaughter King's offer and entered Hell Road.

• Lin Xue's Martial Soul evolved into the Nine Luminaries Sacred Lotus, and her Soul Power rose to level thirty.
• Lin Jin resigned his military posts, entrusted Lin Xue to Dugu Bo, and left Heaven Dou City to pursue vengeance and control his Martial Soul.
• Lin Jin killed the Titan Giant Ape with Fleeting Fragrance, absorbed its hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring, and escaped the Sky Azure Bull Python with the beast's Soul Bone.

Lin Jin escaped Hell Road, returned to Heaven Dou City, and killed Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong in a battle with the Golden Iron Triangle after Shrek Academy challenged him over Ma Hongjun. As the empire backed Lin Jin and Shrek withdrew, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan challenged him to a duel seven days later.

• Lin Jin killed the Dark Gold Three-Headed Bat King and the Ten Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, escaped Hell Road, and completed his Divine Slaughter's Domain before absorbing the serpent's Inner Core to form his seventh Soul Ring.
• Lin Jin rejected Spirit Hall's recruitment, returned to Heaven Dou City, and injured Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai after they harassed Lin Xue, then used his marquis's token to end the City Defense Force's questioning.
