Shiyu had already seen the three faces clearly with his White Rinnegan, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

"Nao, have you ever heard the saying, 'The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind'?" Shiyu asked.

"Sure! Didn't I just say it?" Nao had no idea what Shiyu meant.

"Actually, there's another line after 'The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.' It goes, 'The oriole catches the cicada, while the slingshot waits behind!'"

"And we're the ones holding the slingshot at the end."

"Looks like it was fate, Nao. I'll take care of the task your father gave me in a moment," Shiyu said with a wicked grin.

"You mean...?" Nao seemed to have guessed what he was getting at.

"That's right. Those three over there are Kakashi Hatake, Rin Nohara, and Obito Uchiha." Kurenai had also identified them earlier using her Byakugan.

"So it's him!" Nao wore a wicked grin too, now knowing what to do. It wasn't just Shiyu's team; many Konoha teams couldn't stand the unbearably smug Kakashi. After all, who could blame them when he was so gifted that he'd become a Chunin at such a young age?

Kakashi had undergone two major changes in personality. The first came after his father, the White Fang, died. He became nothing but a tool, convinced that missions had to come first. The second came after Rin and Obito died, when he finally understood that anyone who didn't cherish their comrades had no right to call themselves a ninja.

But by then, Kakashi's spirits had also started to flag. His skills improved painfully slowly, until even the rising star Uchiha Itachi could take him down in an instant.

Guess it's because he's been reading Jiraiya's books, Shiyu could only grumble to himself.
