Green-Eyed Snake Lord had never dreamed that one day he, a dignified Demon Lord at Innately Great Perfection, would find himself locked in an even fight with a Human Race cultivator at Late-stage Innate.

If word of this got out, Green-Eyed Snake Lord would probably become a laughingstock among the Demon Race.

At the thought, a flash of ruthlessness passed through Green-Eyed Snake Lord's eyes.

He opened his mouth, and a fist-sized, dark green Demonic Core wreathed in demonic energy flew out, hovering above his head.

As soon as the Demonic Core appeared, demonic energy began gathering from all directions. Dark green light blazed, illuminating half the sky in a ghastly hue, and a terrifying pressure far greater than before spread out, momentarily stilling even the combatants fighting nearby.

Green-Eyed Snake Lord let out a sinister laugh. His strange, serpentine pupils brimmed with killing intent. "Human, you should be proud, even in death, that you forced this lord to use his Demonic Core."

With a thought, he sent the Demonic Core spinning wildly. A dark green beam shot toward Li Xuantong, carrying terrifying power that corroded the very void!

Li Xuantong's expression changed drastically. He sensed an immense threat from the beam.

Daring not to hesitate, he formed hand seals. Seven-Colored Sky Burning Flame and Extreme Cold Ice Flame surged forth, becoming a barrier of ice and a barrier of fire before him, while he retreated at the same time.

The dark green beam pierced straight through the Seven-Colored Sky Burning Flame barrier without hindrance, then punched through the wall of ice formed by Extreme Cold Ice Flame. Though its force had weakened somewhat, it still shot toward Li Xuantong at tremendous speed!

Li Xuantong hurriedly used a movement technique, his speed surging as he narrowly dodged a fatal blow.
