Background

Li Xinge became Patriarch of the Green Maple Li Clan while still a teenager. Although outsiders believed he was merely at Body Cultivation Grand Completion, the Li Family had concealed his true strength for years to protect him from rival powers. He treated the elders with outward gentleness while assuming direct responsibility for the clan’s survival 1.

His greatest support was the Family System, which assigned him the task of leading the Li Family out of the crisis created by the former Patriarch’s death. After eliminating the immediate danger, he completed this first main quest and received a cultivation-speed blessing for all clan members 2 18.

During the Demonic Chaos, he refused the elders’ request to abdicate and flee under the Kindling Plan. He instead ordered the Sixth and Seventh Elders to preserve the family’s survivors, inheritance, and bloodline while he remained with the main lineage 71. He later became Alliance Leader of Baihe County’s united forces, commanding its aristocratic families and sects against the demonic threat 73.

Li Xinge’s influence grew beyond the Li Clan after he became Prefect of Ascending Dragon Prefecture. He then cultivated a second identity as the Snow Robe Demon Venerable, eventually defeating Sky-Eating Demon Venerable and demanding the demonic path’s submission rather than an equal alliance 160 453. As the Devil Master, he concealed this identity even while openly ruling Li Family territory as the Marquis and later King of Chu 684 744.

After reaching Great Perfection of Divine Mansion, he began strengthening the Li Family’s internal institutions as carefully as its military power. He approved mandatory ten-year assessments for elders, requiring achievement and contribution as well as cultivation 908.

Behind this refinement, he is calculating and ruthless. He deceived Prefect An with an offer of protection, tore out the Prefect’s Golden Core, destroyed the body, and had the Three Sha Demon God consume the victim’s soul 152. He views threats, forbidden artifacts, and even defeated enemies as resources to be controlled or exploited 93 149.
