Background / History

The Pill Pagoda is an ancient Central Continent institution regarded as the holy land of alchemists. Its influence reaches throughout the Dou Qi Continent through its elders, alchemists, resources, and connections. Even distant factions regard an association with it as a major deterrent. Old Monster Lin's personal network as Great Elder is described as spanning the continent, allowing Shen Wen to travel under the protection of his token and hidden guardians 11 20.

Unlike a unified sect, the Pagoda is a loose alliance whose members and affiliated factions retain their own interests. This produces internal dissent, particularly when the organization expends resources protecting a single disciple or confronting the Soul Hall 201.

Its Old Ancestor originated as a Ninth-grade Profound Pill refined by a senior Pill Pagoda alchemist. When that alchemist died at the pill's completion, a fragment of his consciousness merged with the pill; the mutated pill gained human form and became the Pagoda's Old Ancestor 191.
