A bad reputation had its uses.

For instance, when McGonagall kept pestering him, Voldemort said one thing, and she obediently let go of Luna.

"Mrs. Longbottom."

Voldemort put his wand back in his belt and gave her a slight bow. "Please allow me to take them and be on our way."

"You're leaving already?"

Mrs. Longbottom clearly wasn't used to Voldemort's way of doing things. There had been almost no emotional exchange at all.

He handled his business, and when it was done, he left. He wouldn't stay a minute longer.

"Time is precious. When I find a way to wake your son and daughter-in-law, I'll give Neville some time off. But until then, please allow us to take our leave."

Voldemort said, raising both arms.

Neville stared at Voldemort blankly, while Luna simply grabbed one of his arms.

Voldemort had no choice but to give Neville a meaningful look. Once Neville grabbed him, he spun around.

Whoosh.

The three figures twisted into three streaks of shadow and vanished in an instant.

"Augusta, you shouldn't have let Neville leave."

Almost as soon as the three had disappeared, McGonagall spoke to Mrs. Longbottom.

"Minerva, you don't have children. You can't understand."

Mrs. Longbottom sighed as she sat down on the sofa, then spoke softly.

Professor McGonagall: ...

Three figures appeared abruptly in the forest.

"I don't know where you live, Luna. We need to see your father first." Voldemort lowered his head and spoke to Luna.

"Are you going to make an Unbreakable Vow with him too?" Luna asked.

"It'll put him more at ease. You know, my reputation hasn't been very good in the past." Voldemort shrugged helplessly.

He'd just thought a bad reputation could be useful, and now he felt it was a burden.

Voldemort was certainly fickle.
