Background / History

Voldemort's present identity began as a fusion of Voldemort's remnant soul and Lin Zuo's shattered soul. After ten years of struggling against the remnant soul, Lin Zuo accepted the identity of Voldemort and retained only fragments of the original Voldemort's knowledge, including Legilimency, the Unforgivable Curses, and incomplete resurrection research 1 2.

In 1991, he possessed Quirinus Quirrell and used the professor's body to enter Hogwarts. Quirrell underwent therapy with Professor George Finn to become composed enough to maintain the deception around Dumbledore, while Voldemort concealed himself within Danylis's Blood Curse 1 5 16. He secured the Defense Against the Dark Arts post and built influence through practical, house-specific instruction, teaching assistants, and the Maple Training Ground 16 32 37.

Voldemort later confronted and forcibly integrated a sixteen-year-old soul fragment calling itself Riddle. However, he also differs from his prior self in important ways: he questions Pure-blood supremacy, seeks support from Muggle-born wizards, and imagines ruling both groups as the “King of Wizards” 103 148 234.
