"An unexpected summons, children. Is something the matter?"

Voldemort's image appeared in the mirror, but he didn't look up at them. Instead, he kept his head down, scribbling in a large tome.

A pair of glasses perched on his nose, making him look much more scholarly than before.

Combined with the way he seemed unable to put a book down, it was hard to connect him with the Dark Lord.

"Um, I have some questions I'd like to ask you, Dark—sir. Yes."

Percy was a little nervous. The person he knew was "Quirrell," not the man before him.

Voldemort stopped writing and looked over the top of his glasses at Percy. Then he suddenly broke into a smile.

"Call me teacher, Percy. You have that right."

As he spoke, Voldemort took off his glasses and set them aside.

His body was still far from perfect. A couple of days of reading too much had already damaged his eyesight. It was truly troublesome.

"Yes, teacher."

Percy felt much more at ease this time. The man's appearance was different, but his posture and tone were familiar.

"Little Ginny, I mailed your wand today. It should be back in your hands soon."

Voldemort smiled and waved at her. "Thank you for your wand. I like it very much."

"Is your wand made of yew wood too?" Ginny asked.

Voldemort nodded and held up his two wands for her to see in the mirror. "One has a phoenix feather, the other a Dragon Heartstring. Both are made of yew wood. I have a particular fondness for it."

Ginny beamed, then obediently sat to one side.

She knew she wasn't the main participant in this conversation.

"Hermione, we only met briefly last time. How have things been at Hogwarts lately?" Voldemort pushed the book aside,
