"Thud, thud, thud..."
As Voldemort pushed Bella out of the Memory Corridor, the torches lining the passageway lit up one after another.
"Master, sob, Master..."
Bella, awakened from her memories, turned and clung tightly to Voldemort.
Voldemort patted her back to soothe her, his gaze fixed on the hall up ahead.
This was the second major obstacle on the way into the pyramid. The Unspeakables had already explored it, but Voldemort didn't think he would have an easy time getting through.
The biggest problem was that this magic drew people into an incredibly realistic illusion.
And the illusion was created from the lost person's memories.
Voldemort's memories were complicated, split evenly between Lin Zuo and Riddle.
If the magic ultimately chose Riddle's memories, Voldemort didn't think there would be much of a problem.
Riddle's composure and his condition of having no heart would both allow him to see through this kind of magic.
But if it chose to use Lin Zuo's memories, Voldemort thought he might well lose himself in them.
"Bella, take this trial seriously."
Voldemort gently pushed Bella away, then bent down slightly to meet her eyes. "Don't submit to fate, Bella. You can do this, can't you?"
He hoped Bella would be able to help in this trial. After all, her memories were fixed.
And he was one hundred percent certain.
Bellatrix Lestrange would never lose herself in a life with Rodolphus Lestrange.
Her love for him, along with her unwillingness to settle for an ordinary life, would be her way out of the Illusory Maze.
"I'm certain, Master. I'll return to your side, no matter how hard it is."
Bella said firmly, her eyes red.
Voldemort's lips twitched into a satisfied smile.
Bella had never let him down.
"Then let me disable the magical mechanisms here
