The cauldron bubbled, deep green bubbles rising with a "glug, glug," and a rotten stench spreading through the air.

A thick Magic Book floated in front of the cauldron. Voldemort consulted its contents as he crushed the daffodil in his hand.

"Master, what does the daffodil do?"

Bellatrix, helping Voldemort, asked as she tidied the chopping board.

"Communion, Bellatrix. It makes the soul better able to adapt after entering a body."

Voldemort looked up from the book and down at the daffodil he was crushing.

"Should we keep it in a specific area?" Bellatrix asked, pointing to one end of the cauldron. "For instance, near where the head will be when the body forms."

"That would make it a little more effective, Bellatrix," Voldemort said with a shrug. "But I won't do that."

"Why?" Bellatrix asked.

"Because resurrection with the Bone Flesh Blood Magic Potion is different from the Regrowth Potion. It doesn't rely on most of your body to grow the missing part."

Voldemort stopped working and explained, "It's more like... a recall. Yes, recalling a body you once had.

"Of course, not all of it."

He added that last part to keep Bellatrix from misunderstanding.

"A recall?"

Bellatrix's eyes widened. She seemed not to understand what Voldemort meant.

"Yes, Bellatrix. It's like using Accio to make a lost arm fly back to you. But in practice... because of the different choices of bone, flesh, and blood, this recall can sometimes become chaotic—or, more often than not, it will."

Voldemort shook his head. "It's miraculous, but not safe."

That was what he truly thought.

If there were a better way to resurrect himself, Voldemort would abandon this option without hesitation.

The results varied greatly depending on the bone, flesh, and blood chosen, and the process was irreversible.
