August, wrapped tightly in a cloak, hurried through the door. On the second floor, Voldemort turned around.
"Who is that?"
Standing outside the building, Old Nott asked Lucius beside him in confusion.
"I don't know, but the Dark Lord told him to go inside." Lucius shrugged.
Old Nott nodded, then glanced up at the second floor in confusion, but the curtains there had already been drawn.
Meanwhile, August climbed to the second floor and knocked on the study door.
The study had been expanded with the Undetectable Extension Charm and was enormous. Heavy books hovered in midair, one after another.
On the spine of the book at the very center were the words [Porto Transfiguration Charm]. McGonagall and Dumbledore were listed as its authors.
Voldemort stood in front of the book, studying it intently.
"Snape came to see me, Master," August said softly, lowering his head as he came to Voldemort's side.
Voldemort nodded. As he drew a line across the book with his wand, he asked, "What did he say?"
"He invited me to join the school's side, but I refused."
Voldemort scoffed at August's words, finally looking away from the book.
"He was testing you, wasn't he?" Voldemort asked.
"Yes, Master. And when he asked me, we were at the Hog's Head Inn," August replied.
Voldemort raised an eyebrow. "At Dumbledore's brother's place?"
"Yes, Master." August nodded.
"Looks like he's still maintaining his cover as a double agent," Voldemort murmured.
August offered no opinion. When Voldemort looked at him again, he continued.
"Then I left the pub. He invited me again, this time to join a third faction."
August's words finally caught Voldemort's attention.
He turned to August at once, urging him with his eyes to continue.
"It's an organization called the Observers.
