On his day off, Voldemort took a break from reading the forbidden book.

The contents were too mentally harrowing. He had to set aside time to recover, body and mind.

"Not tonight, Hagrid. Thanks for inviting me, but I'm going out to watch a match."

He turned down Hagrid's dinner invitation. Even the eager looks in Hagrid and little Harry's eyes couldn't change his mind.

After reading all morning, he traveled through Hogsmeade Village to Manchester after lunch to watch Manchester United take on Crystal Palace in the First Division.

Manchester United scraped a 1–0 win. There weren't many goals, but it was a beautiful match. Peter Schmeichel, who had only just arrived and was still finding his feet, made several brilliant saves in front of goal.

Voldemort left satisfied. This time, though, he didn't speak with Ferguson. He simply whistled happily all the way back to Hogwarts.

His good mood lasted into the evening, but when he was about to take out [Repairing Rhythm] and watch it, bad news arrived...

"The Headmaster wants to see you, Professor. He sent for you half an hour ago, but I couldn't find you." Percy sounded anxious as he spoke outside Voldemort's office.

His good mood vanished in an instant. If he could help it, he really didn't want much contact with the White Wizard King—he only liked Hogwarts' library. Nothing else mattered.

"All right. Do you know what it's about?" Voldemort asked, pretending not to care as he put his books back in place.

"I don't know, but I saw Gemma go to fetch Snape. Someone else went to get the other professors, too."

That was good news. Voldemort's mood improved a little.

He thanked Percy, then headed for the Seventh Floor. Before long, he entered the Headmaster's Office, where many people
