Headmaster Flitwick was injured, and Professor Quirrell had gone mad.

It was the hottest topic at Hogwarts lately.

The students didn't know the exact reason, but that didn't matter. They only needed to know to stay away from Professor Quirrell.

After returning from Azkaban, Voldemort no longer stayed cooped up in his office as he had before.

The reason was simple: nothing made him happier than being around youthful students.
