"I think it's time we had a talk..."
The enormous demonic body vanished from where it stood, and Arthur appeared in its place.
He wore a black robe that shrouded his entire body. A faint smile touched his extraordinarily handsome, almost eerily beautiful face as he looked toward the Priests in the distance and spoke softly.
The few Priests stared at Arthur, who had just appeared before them, and remained silent for a while. Only after quite some time did one of them step forward and ask, "What do you want to talk about?"
"Lots of things..."
Arthur smiled, looking like a gentleman, his whole being radiating a unique charm. "For instance, who you are. And what you hoped to accomplish by using that fellow earlier..."
"But most importantly, whether we can come to an agreement..."
He looked at the Priests before him, his expression unchanged. "I'm very interested in you..."
The Priests fell silent, staring at Arthur for a long, long time.
Under Arthur's watchful gaze, someone finally spoke after a long while, breaking the silence.
"As you wish..."
The middle-aged Priest who had stepped forward first spoke in a low voice, yet Arthur heard every word clearly.
"A wise choice..."
Arthur's smile did not waver as he casually raised a hand.
The people around him vanished, leaving the area in an instant as they were transported far away.
They appeared in a place Arthur had prepared in advance.
It was a dim, gloomy region where almost nothing was visible.
All around them, a scene of intense activity unfolded.
Lesser Demons as large as full-grown knights labored there. One after another, they carried bricks on their shoulders, trudging along with hearty grunts as they toiled and sweated.
