Nature & Structure
The Abyss World is a vast, chaotic great world within the World of Gods. The broader “Abyss” encompasses countless worlds, while the Abyss World itself is comparable in scale and power to the Material World. Its terrain was originally crimson, barren, and saturated with Abyss Power. 651 741 826
Before its transformation, the Abyss functioned as the World of Gods’ “garbage dump”: negative emotions, distortions, and harmful existences flowed into it, where the Abyss Will reshaped them into demons. This role made it an essential outlet in the World of Gods’ larger ecological cycle, but also condemned it to chaos. 650 862 869
The world was fundamentally incomplete. It could not create a self-sustaining cycle of life, relying instead on external soul fragments to produce demons. This dependence drove its aggressive expansion and repeated invasions of other worlds. 781 858 859
Abyss Will
The Abyss Will is the Abyss World’s immense, chaotic consciousness. It governs Abyss Power, responds to threats, summons demons for invasions, and can grant Authority and Origin Power to beings it favors. 651 774 785 868
Abyss Power
Abyss Power is a pervasive chaotic energy containing emotions such as brutality, madness, grief, pain, and despair.
- It corrupts outsiders’ bodies, True Spirits, wills, Divinity, and Divine Blood. 649 650
- It gradually turns those it assimilates into demons or abyssal servants. 646 865
- It shapes demons into violent, unstable beings, although it does not prevent them from possessing high intelligence. 650 765
- It suppresses demons who enter the Material World, just as the Abyss erodes outsiders who remain within it. 771
- The Abyss Will can awaken ancient demons and temporarily empower them when the world is threatened. 861 865
Abyssal Authority
The Abyss Will grants Authority to Demon Lords and Demon Kings, allowing them to draw upon the world’s power.
- The world’s self-repulsion mechanism originally prevented demons from reaching the Seventh Tier, ensuring that no true gods arose within the Abyss. 786 824
- During a crisis, the Abyss Will attempted to grant its full Authority to the Primordial Demon Herlaudi, seeking a new master capable of preserving it. 868
- The King of Earth Demons ultimately inherited the world’s Authority and laws, becoming the Abyss Master. 883 884
Abyss Sea
The Abyss Sea was a black-and-blood-red ocean containing condensed negative emotions and fragments of unextinguished souls.
- Soul fragments immersed in the sea were corrupted, formed demon eggs, and hatched as Demon Worms—the earliest form of demons. 741 781
- The extreme emotional contamination of the sea produced demons with powerful but flawed, instinct-driven souls. 741
- Its waters were lethal to non-Divine beings and served as the former foundation of the Abyss World’s demon-production cycle. 912
- After gaining control of the Abyss, the King of Earth Demons separated the sea from the world; it was later used by the God of Death to create the Underworld and renamed the Styx River. 885 912 913
History
Contact with Adel
When Adel first entered the Abyss, he found a battlefield of demons slaughtering and devouring one another. Despite possessing a Fifth Order True Spirit, he was still slowly corrupted by Abyss Power. 649
At the River of the Abyss, Adel’s Transmigration Ability allowed him to contact the sleeping Abyss Will directly. The contact transformed his True Spirit’s Origin and gave him a clearer instinctive understanding of the world’s essence. 651 652
Adel later reincarnated a clone within the Abyss Sea. Unlike ordinary outsiders, the Abyss World accepted the clone readily; it was born from a demon egg and grew amid the Sea’s soul fragments and emotional pollution. 741
Emergence of Order
Adel recognized that the Abyss World’s inability to reproduce life independently was its greatest flaw. He began developing crops adapted to Abyss Power and creating a new demon race capable of stable reproduction. 765 781
The Abyss Will responded favorably to these changes. Its dormant tendency toward order began to surface, granting Adel immense power and raising him from the Fifth Order limit to the peak of the Sixth Order. 781 785 786
Over nearly a thousand years, Adel’s territory developed agriculture, cities, trade, and a population of more rational, humanoid new demons. Their existence introduced a sustainable civilization into a world previously dominated by predation and chaos. 814 820
Severance and the Earth Demon World
Adel severed his ordered territory from the Abyss World, creating the independent Earth Demon World. The act divided the Abyss Will itself: one portion supported Adel’s order, while the chaos-aligned portion attacked him. 821 822
The Earth Demon World retained an Origin connection to the Abyss World and could expand by taking regions and power from it. The two worlds became competing paths for the future of abyssal life. 825 869
Wizard Invasion
A World Gate opened from the Wizard World into the Abyss World, causing the Abyss Will to react with excitement and summon demons for another invasion. Instead, Adel and numerous Seventh Tier Wizards entered and began plundering the Abyss World’s Origin. 857 858 860
The invaders killed demons, harvested their remains, refined the Abyss Sea, and planted modified Emerald Ancient Tree seeds to absorb the world’s power. The Abyss Will eventually awakened ancient demons and intensified its corruption of the invading Wizards. 860 861 865
Rebirth under the Abyss Master
Following the Wizard invasion, the weakened Abyss World was attacked by the Earth Demon World. Its ancient demons were divided by betrayal, while the King of Earth Demons endured the abyssal core’s erosion and absorbed the world’s laws and Origin. 867 868 882 883
After receiving Herlaudi’s final Authority, the King of Earth Demons became the true Master of the Abyss. He reduced the concentration of Abyss Power rather than erasing it, preserving demons’ strength while limiting the chaos that had dominated their nature. 884 885
He then used the Abyss Sea to transform the souls accumulated over countless years into new life. Countless beings shed their former demonic forms and appeared across the Abyss World, ending its former dependence on corrupted soul fragments for population growth. 885 886
