After fulfilling his promises to Lucis and the others, Lucis and her companions became noticeably more respectful, and more eager in their work.

In the time that followed, with the Emerald Clan and the Half-Dragon Clan at its core, the Calamity Incarnation began extending its reach throughout this layer.

The Calamity World was far too vast. And as the layer closest to its core, this one was larger still, reaching an unimaginable scale.

The Calamity Incarnation had spent several years exploring the surrounding area before finally finding traces of the Emerald Clan and the Half-Dragon Clan, thereby obtaining some intelligence on the Calamity World's core.

Even with the Calamity Incarnation's strength, it had taken such a long time. That alone showed just how vast the place was.

However, after subduing the Emerald Clan and the Half-Dragon Clan, the work that followed became much simpler.

The pressure on living beings in this layer was not especially great.

After all, in such a vast expanse, there were very few living beings. Scattered across this immense land, one could hardly find anyone.

With so few living beings, conflicts were naturally rare, and disputes seldom arose.

As a result, the various races on this land were mostly scattered, each inhabiting its own territory. Unless something unusual happened, they rarely crossed paths.

The Emerald Clan and the Half-Dragon Clan were merely two neighboring races that happened to live close to each other on this land.

In fact, apart from the Emerald Clan and the Half-Dragon Clan, one could hardly find any other races in this region.

The surrounding area seemed utterly lifeless, as if everything had vanished. There were few living beings to be seen.

In this respect, the two clans were much like the Calamity Incarnation: neither knew much about the regions where the
