"Since the Abyss possesses such power, why has it never appeared in the past?"
Standing in the Earth Demon World, the King of Earth Demons gazed toward the distant Abyss and frowned. "When we carried out our plan, if this Primordial Demon had intervened, then even if we had achieved our goal, things could never have gone so smoothly."
"Indeed."
Standing beside the King of Earth Demons, God of Destruction listened and nodded lightly. "If it could, the Abyss Will would naturally want to awaken him and use this Primordial Demon to suppress us."
"It wasn't that it didn't want to. It couldn't."
"Couldn't?"
The King of Earth Demons frowned, looking puzzled.
"Exactly."
God of Destruction nodded. "The Primordial Demon was one of the first demons born in the Abyss World. He commanded some of the Abyss World's original authority and was one of its most powerful ancient demons."
"An existence like him possesses an independent consciousness. Unlike those monarchs, he isn't a puppet controlled by the Abyss Will."
"This ancient demon not only commands the authority of the Abyss World, but also has a will of his own. If he were truly awakened, there's no telling whom he would help."
"After all, if the legends are to be believed, the relationship between this Primordial Demon and the Abyss Will was hardly harmonious."
"Back then, the Abyss went to great lengths to seal this Primordial Demon in the Abyss Sea. Why would it release him so easily now?"
"To put it bluntly, in the eyes of the Abyss Will, the threat posed by this Primordial Demon may be greater than the two of us combined."
"What about now?"
Standing where he was, the King of Earth Demons kept his expression calm as he asked, "Why has it released him now?"
