Three factions battled in the World Sea, using worlds as pieces on a board and most of the Calamity World as their battlefield.
Later, under the Crimson King's leadership, the Progenitor World also joined the war.
All four worlds suffered heavy losses in the fighting.
However, with the other three worlds joining forces against it, the most powerful, the World of Gods, was the first to withdraw.
When the progenitors of the Progenitor World joined the fray, the gods of the World of Gods fell one after another, becoming prey for the progenitors to fight over.
Under this relentless assault, the World of Gods' power gradually dwindled, leaving it increasingly enfeebled.
In the end, even the World of Gods' World Consciousness was defeated by the actions of Arthur, the new Emerald Master.
At the critical moment, the King of Gods and the God of Death sacrificed themselves to restore the World of Gods' World Consciousness. They led the World of Gods into hiding, and it vanished from the World Sea.
Once the World of Gods withdrew, the three factions that had held their alliance together could no longer maintain it.
Of the three, the Progenitor World was the most aggressive. It had joined the alliance only to hunt the gods and plunder their Laws and Mysteries, making up for its own deficiencies.
