The gravel beach below the cliffs west of Pike, the angry sea roaring, the salty wind like a knife. Every wave that crashed against the jagged black reefs kicked up a sky full of white foam and deafening roars. In this dangerous place where mortals would hesitate to tread, the young Yulon Greyjoy was undergoing brutal combat training with Balf, the fierce instructor of the Iron Islands.
Balf, nicknamed "Bonebreaker," wielded a heavy practice wooden axe, his movements broad and powerful, filled with the savagery and bravery ingrained in the Ironborn. Every chop carried a muffled sound that tore through the air, every sweep stirred up gravel and sand like a miniature tsunami. His combat philosophy was simple and direct—crush with strength, fight with your life!
"Ha!" Balf roared, his wooden axe cleaving the air with the force of splitting mountains, chopping down from upper left to lower right! His target was Yulon's slender shoulder.
Yulon, small in stature but as agile as a phantom octopus among the reefs. He knew a direct confrontation meant death. The instant the wooden axe's whistling wind was upon him, his left leg slid back like lightning, his body leaning to the right as if pulled by an invisible giant hand like a reed! The heavy wooden axe, carrying the scent of death, grazed his nose and smashed down fiercely. With a "boom," the hard basalt reef beneath his feet cracked like a spiderweb, sending shards of rock flying!
Using the brief moment Balf was off-balance from his exertion, Yulon sprang up like a compressed spring suddenly released! The short wooden sword in his hand darted out like a viper's tongue towards the opponent's exposed right rib, which had opened up due to his powerful swing! The angle was cunning, the speed like lightning!
"Cunning!" Balf growled, his massive body twisting with astonishing agility. His thick leather armor and arm guards narrowly deflected the fatal thrust, the wooden sword scraping against the leather with a piercing screech.
Yulon retreated a few steps, panting, sweat and splashed ice-cold seawater mixing and dripping down his taut jawline. His mismatched eyes—the left like an abyss swallowing defeat, the right like an icy sea freezing with unwillingness—stared intently at Balf.
Daggmo stood between them, stopping Yulon from continuing his training, and said, "Your mind is as fast as lightning, little master! But your body... can't keep up! Lord Balf's fighting style is for men who can withstand the first axe and deliver the second! If you keep training like this, your bones will break first!"
Strength! This five-year-old body was the biggest limitation! Balf's traditional Ironborn path of brute force to overcome skill was a dead end for him.
"You're right, Daggmo. I need... the Water Flow Sword." Yulon panted, his voice carrying the sharpness of the sea wind. His gaze swept past Balf and Daggmo, towards the turbulent Narrow Sea. "I heard the Water Sword Masters of Braavos... their swords are light, agile, and can penetrate anywhere, using skill to break strength. Daggmo, has Mario returned to the Free Cities yet?"
Daggmo thought for a moment and replied, "Counting the journey, at least three more days."
Yulon nodded. "Give Mario a task. Help me find a suitable Braavosi Water Dancer Swordsman."
"I believe he will do his utmost!"
Combat training was only one part of Yulon's life. He dedicated more of his energy to exploring every unlit corner of Pike Island, seizing precious "Exploration Points." This was no leisurely stroll but a journey filled with challenges and dangers.
Flint Cliff was a daunting precipice on the northeastern corner of Pike Island. Steep columns of black basalt rose like giant spears thrust into the dark green angry sea by the Drowned God in his wrath. The sea wind here was compressed into a mournful shriek, and the salt particles whipped against the face like sandpaper. Yulon refused the help of guards, bringing only a sturdy hemp rope and specially made grappling boots. His small body clung to the cold rock face, fingertips gripping narrow crevices, boot tips digging into wind-eroded holes. Every upward movement was accompanied by a pounding heartbeat and the roar of the waves from the abyss below, like the breathing of a giant beast. Salt crystals seeped into his fingernails, causing a piercing sting. When he finally reached the cliff top, the wind almost blew him over! Standing on a tiny patch of land at the edge of the world, overlooking the waves that would shatter anything below, a thrill of conquest mingled with awe at the might of heaven and earth. The fog map in his mind instantly illuminated this dangerous area, marking hidden seabird nests, an ancient weathered Ironborn rune, and the entrance to a tidal cave, almost hollowed out by the waves, barely large enough for one person to hide in.

The Blind Lord's Ghost Tower stood on the edge of a desolate salt marsh in the heart of Pike Island. Legend had it that hundreds of years ago, a Greyjoy lord, blinded by his brother, was imprisoned in this isolated tower until he went mad and died. The tower was built from massive black stones, weathered and salt-eroded, its surface covered in honeycomb-like holes, like the skeletal remains of a decaying behemoth. The air inside was thick with an overpowering musty smell, the bitterness of sea salt, and an indescribable stench of decay, as if countless despair had settled within. Light streamed in through narrow arrow slits, forming pale beams that illuminated the dancing dust motes in the air, making it even more sinister. The wooden stairs had long since rotted away, and Yulon could only climb with the help of ropes and pitons, with Lysa's assistance. The prison cell at the top of the tower was empty, save for walls covered in frantic scratch marks and dried, blackened stains that looked like ancient blood. The air seemed to echo with silent wails. As Yulon's hand brushed over the scratches, a chilling sensation pierced his bones. The system map not only illuminated this forgotten ghost tower but also marked an extremely hidden, narrow cellar entrance at the base of the tower, sealed by salt crystals and rubble!

It was these lands measured by footsteps, sweat, and even risk—every hidden corner of Pike, the jagged reefs and lonely islands of Westeros's west coast, the dangerous and complex shipping lanes of the Ironborn Bay—that accumulated substantial capital for him.
Dusk. At the highest Eagle's Nest Tower in Pike, Yulon dismissed his attendants and stood alone.
His consciousness sank into the boundless void deep within his mind. A colossal light screen, woven from stars and deep blue seawater, unfolded—the Pirate King System. On the central map, Pike Island was depicted in exquisite detail, like a dissected specimen: from the rugged outline of Flint Cliff to the hidden cellar entrance deep within the Blind Lord's Ghost Tower; from the distribution of every salt pan in the salt fields to the most concealed berths in the shipyards; even the foul-smelling underground passage beneath the old main castle leading to the unknown... Large portions of the fog over the Ironborn Bay and the west coast had also been dispelled, marking shipping routes, hidden reefs, and caves.
Exploration Points: 420/100.
This number flickered in the deep blue at the top of the light screen, the wealth he had exchanged for with his footsteps, courage, and wisdom.
His gaze focused on the constantly spinning [Lucky Draw Wheel] in the center of the light screen, emanating a captivating starlight. Countless small fan-shaped areas were shrouded in mist, with only a few faintly marked as possibilities: Skill (deep blue), Item (emerald green), Mount (deep purple), Unknown (chaos gray).
"Draw." The command from his consciousness was calm and firm.
The wheel suddenly erupted in brilliant starlight, the pointer transforming into a stream of light as it spun madly! The misty areas seemed to come alive, countless blurry runes, phantom images of strange creatures, and outlines of weapons flashed by rapidly, like fleeting glimpses of the river of fate. Tension filled the void.
The pointer slowed, carrying the weight of destiny, skipping past the faint lights one by one...
Ding!
A crisp notification sound rang out, and the pointer stopped in the deep blue oceanic light zone.
[Congratulations on obtaining: Skill - Basic Navigation]
A stream of information, cool as a newborn sea breeze, flowed into his mind! Star navigation (requires calibration with Westeros star charts), seabird trajectory for land identification, subtle perception of ocean currents, cloud omens for storms, efficient boat handling with wind and tide... Knowledge was imprinted like instinct. He felt as if an invisible umbilical cord had been established with the roaring sea beneath his feet, and the whisper of the tides echoed in the depths of his soul.
"Continue."
The wheel spun again, starlight flowing.
Ding!
The pointer stopped in a deep blue area with abstract waves and fist imprints.
[Congratulations on obtaining: Skill - Fish-Man Karate - v1]
A scorching stream of energy surged from his dantian, instantly flowing through his limbs and bones! His muscle fibers were stretched and tempered by invisible forces, becoming supple yet imbued with explosive power. Strange methods of force generation emerged: concentrating force like a compressed wave exploding at a single point (vibrating fist), deflecting force like flowing water absorbing a massive impact, treading on waves and controlling the boat as if on flat ground... This was a technique crafted specifically for him, one that used softness to overcome hardness and break force! He subconsciously threw a punch at the air, the trajectory smooth and strange, creating a faint vortex of airflow!
"Again!"
The wheel spun for the third time, the light slightly dimmer.
Ding!
The pointer stopped in a fan-shaped area emitting a vibrant green light.
[Congratulations on obtaining: Item - Vivre Card (Sub-card x1)]
The light flashed, and a black card, about the size of a palm and feeling like tough animal hide, appeared in his hand. Its edges were inlaid with runes that glowed with a faint green light. Information flowed in: drip blood into the central indentation. The life imprint of the main card holder will appear (brightly showing life, decay, extinction, death)! Yulon didn't hesitate, biting his fingertip. A drop of crimson blood fell in. The blood was instantly absorbed, and the card's faint light flowed, revealing a small but clear Greyjoy kraken totem made of green stardust, full of vitality.
A good item, but not useful yet. Such a mysterious thing couldn't be casually handed over to others—explaining its origin alone would take a lot of effort. Yulon carefully placed it in an inner pocket.
The last chance to draw!
The wheel spun, the light retracting.
Ding!
The pointer stopped in the deep purple zone with the abstract silhouette of a galloping horse.
[Congratulations on obtaining: Mount - Faruru (Juvenile)]
The light faded, accompanied by a childish, confused, yet clear and silver-bell-like neigh—"Hee-ri-ri!"
Yulon looked down. A small foal was nuzzling his calf with its warm nose. It was smaller than the ponies of Westeros, yet exceptionally spirited! Its snow-white fur flowed with a velvety sheen, and its four hooves were long and powerful. Most captivating were its large eyes, where two clusters of lively golden flames burned deep within the pupils, full of wisdom and wildness, its mane and tail swaying gently like flowing night. Though young, its latent nobility, speed, and strength were already evident.
System Message: Faruru, a divine steed of ancient Eastern lineage. Extraordinary in its youth, its adult speed and endurance are unparalleled, and its spiritual connection is extremely high, allowing for telepathic communication. Its growth requires special care (to be explored). The mount of the popular One Piece character "White Horse" Cavendish, it embodies both elegance and ferocity, is loyal to its master, and is brave and fearless in battle.
Faruru nuzzled Yulon affectionately, its golden-flame eyes full of trust and curiosity.
Yulon gently stroked Faruru's smooth, warm neck, feeling its vibrant life force. It was now a small horse suitable for him, and it would grow along with him.
He hadn't obtained the Devil Fruit he most wanted to see, but all four rewards from the draws were very practical. Yulon was very satisfied and looked forward to the next draw being even more perfect. Looking at Faruru, his head began to ache. "Uh, suddenly I have a little horse, how am I going to explain this?"
Ah, whatever. He'd just say he found it in the stable, born from some unknown mare.
Now, he needed to properly think about how to create a beautiful outer packaging for Platinum Sand and publicize it everywhere with bragging rights, how to open trade routes with salt, how to revitalize the port with salt, and how to control those disobedient Lords with salt
