The Art of Seduction?

"Hmm, where am I?"

After an unknown amount of time, Kaiser Lynn slowly came to, groggy after passing out. The light outside the window was like the morning sun, clear and bright.

"Why does my neck hurt so much?"

She sat up from the floor and rubbed her neck, where Shirakawa had hit her. It took a long while before she remembered what had happened yesterday.

"Damn it, that guy actually knocked me out."

Kaiser Lynn quickly got to her feet and glared at Shirakawa, who was still sleeping soundly in bed.

"How can that guy sleep so peacefully after doing something so awful?"

Kaiser Lynn wanted to wake Shirakawa, but just as she was about to touch him, a transparent shield appeared around him.

"What's this?"

Kaiser Lynn reached out, tentatively trying to touch it.

"What are you trying to do?" After Kaiser Lynn had tapped it twice and felt nothing, a voice suddenly rang in her ears.

"Hehe, I just wanted to figure out how this thing formed." Kaiser Lynn felt like she'd been caught red-handed doing something bad, and spoke with some embarrassment.

"If you didn't mean any harm, this thing wouldn't have appeared."

Shirakawa sat up, and the shield before him immediately vanished.

"I mean you harm? Right, why did you leave me sleeping on the floor yesterday?"

At the mention of ill intent, Kaiser Lynn remembered that she'd meant to settle a score with Shirakawa. Of course she meant him harm.

"Yesterday? A whole day's already gone by? I didn't get to experience any nightlife last night. What a waste!"

Shirakawa was annoyed with himself. How could he have slept so soundly? Was it because this damn bed was too comfortable?

"Hmph, serves you right that you didn't get any nightlife. You made me sleep on the cold floor."

"But you looked pretty comfortable sleeping there."

Shirakawa glanced up at Kaiser Lynn's face. There were obvious marks on it, and even traces of drool.

Hearing that, Kaiser Lynn blushed and quickly turned away to fix her appearance.

She hadn't slept so peacefully in days. She'd been on edge the whole time, and yesterday, though she'd been knocked out, she hadn't felt the slightest bit of panic as she passed out.

Shirakawa got out of bed and pushed Kaiser Lynn aside since she was in the way, then headed for the bathroom. He hadn't relieved himself in over ten hours and was feeling rather uncomfortable. He might as well take a shower while he was at it.

The technology in the world of pirates was surprisingly advanced. The place had everything Shirakawa could think of, from a toilet to a shower.

Hearing the water rushing in the bathroom, Kaiser Lynn blushed even more. Should I go take a peek? She was probably shocked by how daring the thought in her mind was.

What are you thinking? You're a lady. Even if that man is kind of handsome, you can't do that. You can't lust after his body!

Kaiser Lynn patted her cheeks and shook her head, trying to shake the naughty thought out of her mind.

As expected, guys were quick in the shower. Maybe it was because he'd soaked in the bath last night, but he came out after just a few minutes.

"I'm going to shower too. Don't peek." Kaiser Lynn said to Shirakawa as they passed each other.

"Who do you think I am?" Shirakawa retorted, then quietly sat back down on the bed.

How does he know what I'm thinking?

Though Kaiser Lynn was panicking inside, she kept up a calm front, as steady as an old dog. Only after she entered the bathroom did she return to normal.

Her heart was pounding faster and faster.

But Shirakawa noticed something was off. Could I have hit the mark? Did she really watch me shower?

Shirakawa's expression tightened. Am I going to lose my virtue?

No way. I have to get a look too. I can't be the one who loses out. Shirakawa strode toward the door, but suddenly stopped, his resolve crumbling.

No. Even if she wronged me, I can't wrong her. Shirakawa sat back down on the bed and put his clothes back on.

That move had really startled Kaiser Lynn, though. The glass wasn't transparent, but she could see his silhouette.

When she saw Shirakawa's silhouette, she was about to scream. Luckily, he backed away in the end.

"Hmph, coward." For some reason, she felt just the tiniest bit disappointed.

She stared blankly at her perfect figure in the mirror. "If only this part were a little bigger. Then it'd be even more perfect."

A long while later, Kaiser Lynn finally came out. Shirakawa stared at her, dazed again.

Though her body was wrapped in a bath towel, her face was uncovered.

Her cheeks were flushed with shyness, and her hair was still dripping from the shower. Even Shirakawa, usually so unflappable, felt his heart speed up without realizing it.

"What are you doing, staring at me?" Kaiser Lynn asked softly, her voice shy.

"Oh, sorry." Shirakawa hurried out the door as he spoke.

"Get dressed quickly. If nothing unexpected happens, we'll be able to leave soon."

"Mm, thank you." Kaiser Lynn's voice was still very quiet. If Shirakawa's hearing hadn't been so good, he might not have heard her.

"No need to thank me."

Shirakawa opened the door and slipped outside in a flash.

He quickly shut the door and leaned against it, panting heavily.

"Damn, that woman has no shame. She tried to seduce me. If I hadn't been strong-willed, I might've fallen for it."

"Sure enough, women are all wicked. She actually tried to use this trick to keep me by her side and stop me from going to sea."

Whatever happened, Shirakawa wasn't going to blame this feeling of attraction on himself.

He was a responsible man. He couldn't break any girl's heart.

Since he was already the King of Silver, that meant he'd gained an immortal body. No matter how many years passed—even decades or a century—his appearance might never change, but the same couldn't be said for the other person.

At that thought, Shirakawa's eyes dimmed a little. "Could it be that I'm destined to be alone all my life again?"

"No. I absolutely won't let that happen," Shirakawa thought resolutely.

"There are so many Devil Fruits in this world, and they're all strange and unusual. Maybe one of them can make people immortal."

After resting for a while, Shirakawa went to Shanks and Buggy's room to wake the two kids. There was no way those two would get up on their own.

"Knock, knock, knock." The sound of Shirakawa's hand rhythmically knocking against the door rang out, but even after a long time, there was no response from inside.

"Do I have to resort to violence?"

Shirakawa shook his head helplessly, raised his leg, and kicked.
