A seagull was painted on the snow-white sails, and the warship's hull was dyed blue-green. Rows of dark cannon muzzles displayed its formidable firepower, striking fear into every criminal on these seas. Even so, it still couldn't stop evil from taking root.
The Sabaody Archipelago was known as the "Island of Failures" and the "Island of New Beginnings." Though this tree-covered island had no magnetic field and lay right beside Navy Headquarters, it was also where pirates gathered in the greatest numbers across Paradise. It welcomed the young tigers eager to challenge the New World, while also embracing the failures driven back from it.
Pirates, bandits, slave traders, drug peddlers... The island was teeming with every kind of criminal.
"Major Hina, why doesn't the Navy station an Admiral permanently on the Sabaody Archipelago?" Inside the warship's bridge, Aleus sat on a sofa, holding a steaming cup of coffee with milk. He took small sips of the slightly too-hot drink as he chatted with the major seated across from him.
"If an Admiral were stationed on the Sabaody Archipelago, then no matter how many pirates poured in, they'd just be walking into a trap. Without pirates from the Four Seas and Paradise replenishing their ranks, the New World might not have become the menace it is today... Is there some concern holding the Navy back?"
