Background / History

Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass despite possessing Innate Full Soul Power. Zhong Li noticed his potential and considered taking him as a disciple, but Tang San instead became Yu Xiaogang's disciple earlier than expected 5 8.

This early change redirected his development. He did not spend three months learning the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer under Tang Hao, nor did he forge his first Hidden Weapon, the Sleeve Arrow. The Mandala Snake that would have become his first soul ring was killed early; he therefore absorbed a Lone Bamboo ring and reached only level 11 8.

Tang San later enrolled at Shrek Academy at age twelve as a level 32 Tool Soul Elder. He fought alongside Xiao Wu, Zhao Yun, and others during the academy's assessments, using his control abilities against Zhao Wuji despite the latter's Soul Saint cultivation 20 23.

At the Great Soul Arena, Tang San challenged the level 39 Soul Elder Mo Bai. His binding and control skills repeatedly restrained Mo Bai, but Mo Bai broke free by force and ultimately inflicted severe injuries on him 31 32. During recovery, Tang San resolved to resume forging Tang Sect Hidden Weapons, believing that a Godly Zhuge Crossbow could have changed the outcome of his encounter with Mo Bai 37.

After Yu Xiaogang's past with Martial Soul Hall was revealed, Tang San swore to destroy Martial Soul Hall 41. He was later imprisoned, escaped by devouring Yu Xiaogang, and became the target of a fifty-six-person force that regarded him as an Evil Soul Master 83. Following a ten-day pursuit, he entered Slaughter City to evade his enemies, grow stronger, and prepare revenge against Shrek Academy, Martial Soul Hall, and Zhong Li 90.

Tang San is determined and resilient in battle. Even when facing stronger opponents, he continues probing for openings rather than surrendering 31 32.

He is also strategic, assigning roles during the team assault on Zhao Wuji and using control skills to support allies 23. Following his transformation into a Soul Ancestor, he becomes notably colder and more confident, calmly preparing an ambush against the Soul Masters hunting him 83.

His loyalty to Yu Xiaogang can make him impulsive: he attacked Flender when Yu Xiaogang's cultivation questions angered Zhong Li and Flender 43.
