Tang San fought beside the Shrek Group in the Star Dou Great Forest, where he reached Level 30 and pursued Xiao Wu after the Titan Giant Ape took her away. When Ji Xuan confronted the group, Tang San used hidden weapons, Blue Silver Grass, the Clear Sky Hammer, and his Eight Spider Lances, but was defeated. Ji Xuan forcibly removed the External Soul Bone from Tang San's back, leaving him severely injured. 72 75 76

Learning that Xiao Wu was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Transformed Soul Beast intensified Tang San's urgency to save her. Xiao Wu ultimately agreed to sacrifice herself to Qian Renxue after Ji Xuan threatened Tang San's life; Tang San later sensed her loss without knowing its cause. 78 84
