The Eternal Flower, filled with anxiety and urgency, temporarily bid farewell to the imprisoned Za.

It was not that it did not want to rescue its old friend immediately, but Za himself had refused.

If he suddenly vanished, it would inevitably alert the Dark Hunters and tip them off. That might place the entire base under even stricter lockdown, making everyone's situation more dangerous.

In Za's own words, he was no longer of much use. The Eternal Flower should let go of its reservations and do what it believed had to be done.

The Eternal Flower's resolve was unwavering—it absolutely could not allow the Ultimate Weapon that had brought endless suffering to reappear in this world.

Even if the activation requirements seemed so harsh as to be nearly impossible to fulfill, it could not take chances even if there was only a one-percent possibility.

Yet what puzzled it was that, despite knowing the Ultimate Weapon should be somewhere in this base, its senses were like stones sinking into the sea. It could not detect even the slightest energy fluctuation unique to that forbidden object.

This was too strange. Back beneath Saffron City, it had clearly sensed a trace left behind by the Ultimate Weapon. Now that it was so close, why could it not feel anything?

"They used some kind of technology to block its aura." Za's explanation echoed in its mind.

It seemed the technology these humans possessed was far more troublesome than it had imagined. Perhaps when the time came, even it would be powerless.

It tried to trace the unfamiliar aura of immortality that had lured it here before, but that sensation had been as fleeting as a flower blooming for an instant, now vanished without a trace.

It desperately wanted to find that mysterious third party
