Ash and Pikachu, Dia and Zeraora

Guzzlord's enormous body was chasing two tiny targets across a relatively open stretch of ruined ground.

The ones being chased were a boy in a blue jacket and white T-shirt, wearing an iconic red-and-white cap, and a yellow Electric Mouse Pokémon.

Ash wore an expression that was equal parts bewilderment and panic, as if asking, "What is going on?" He ran for all he was worth through the rubble and broken walls.

Pikachu kept looking back, the electric sacs on its cheeks flashing as it tried to hinder the giant beast behind them. Yet the dazzling bolts were effortlessly swallowed by Guzzlord's huge mouth the moment they drew near, without even making a splash. Instead, they only made the monster roar more excitedly.

"What kind of Pokémon is this?! Electricity doesn't work on it at all!"

Ash still could not quite wrap his head around it. Just moments ago, he had been on his way to school when he ran into Tapu Koko in the forest. Without a word—or perhaps with an unspoken mutual understanding—they had begun their customary battle.

In the midst of their fierce clash, an unusually brilliant burst of golden lightning had suddenly erupted and completely engulfed him.

The next instant, he found himself standing amid these devastated ruins.

Before he had time to figure out what was happening, dull tremors and terrifying roars had echoed from afar.

He had followed the sounds, only to discover the colossal creature known as Guzzlord.

Driven by curiosity, he had carefully moved closer to observe it. Then... he had been spotted.

After that came the familiar routine of being chased through the streets by a powerful wild Pokémon.

Only this time, the "streets" were genuine ruins, and the thing chasing him was clearly far more terrifying than
