Hrym let out a mournful howl. Brunhilde's superb martial skills were no joke!

He swept his battle axe sideways in a furious strike. Brunhilde leaped high into the air and aimed at Hrym's face, unleashing a flurry of spear thrusts that blossomed like pear flowers!

Phantoms overlapped, pear blossoms scattered!

Brunhilde's swift spear pierced Hrym's eyes, bursting them!

The pain cut to his heart!

His giant axe came swinging down, but Brunhilde used her agility to roll away and leap behind him.

The Valkyrie Spear in her hands blazed with a dazzling light so bright that no one dared look directly at it. In one thrust, she drove it into Hrym's back!

The divine spear pierced Hrym's icy armor, ran deep through his body, and emerged from his chest!

With a weak roar, Hrym fell to his knees on the frozen plain!

"Brunhilde is ferocious!" Kirk exclaimed. He had never seen her fight with such ruthless intensity. He'd always thought the Valkyrie was all reputation and no substance, with little martial prowess.

Come to think of it, Brunhilde had always been by his side, but she had hardly ever fought. She had spent most of that time as a spirit, and fighting took too much out of her. Then Odin had captured her, leaving her no opportunity to fight at all.

But it made sense. If Brunhilde's skills were mediocre, how could she have caught the eye of the great god Odin and become the most favored leader of the Valkyries?

And how else could she have killed Hrym, whose strength rivaled Odin's, all by herself on the battlefield of Ragnarok?

Brunhilde coldly kicked Hrym in the back and pulled out the Valkyrie Spear!
