Odin's Fall

Odin suddenly realized!

This had all been part of Loki's plan!

He had let himself be stabbed twice, with Sleipnir as his target all along!

Normally, the Giant Wolf was as fast as Sleipnir, and Odin could control the situation.

But now Sleipnir had been wounded twice in the belly, and the Giant Wolf had gained the advantage in speed.

A glint flashed in Odin's single eye!

Even with his steed wounded, killing him would not be easy!

Odin sprang sideways and vanished from Sleipnir's back.

The Giant Wolf came howling in. It failed to pounce on Odin, but clamped its jaws around Sleipnir instead.

Sleipnir let out a pained whinny and kicked the Giant Wolf hard in the chest with its two legs on that side.

Odin appeared beside Fenrir, the Giant Wolf, and hurled Gungnir. The spear pierced straight through the beast!

Such was the might of a Major God!

But that strike finally unleashed Fenrir's full fury!

Blazing flames erupted from its eyes and mouth at the same time!

Sleipnir, trapped in its jaws, couldn't even whimper before the flames burned its entire body black.

Odin watched, his eye nearly splitting with rage, and charged forward in long strides.

Fenrir released Sleipnir, who was clinging to life, and charged at Odin with a furious roar!

Odin instinctively tried to dodge, but the Tesseract scepter in Loki's hand suddenly sent out wave after wave of deep, rippling energy. The power came from the scepter crafted by the Chitauri and the unfathomable might of the Tesseract. Even Odin, who had seen more than most, was caught off guard and took a hit.

His body froze, and his movements slowed dramatically.

That alone wouldn't have been fatal. But Odin was facing a frenzied Fenrir!
