Kirk picked his nose and flicked a booger away. "Sorry, I think it's too expensive."
Forester was so furious his lungs felt ready to burst. Damn it!
Still, he maintained an excellent attitude. "Brother, to be honest, I'm the one selling the equipment. That bastard offered more, but we're both among the Five Great Reincarnator teams, and I'd still rather sell it to you. I'll cut you a deal. Your offer of 120 million really tempted me."
The crowd erupted.
He was turning down an offer of 140 million and insisting on selling it for 120 million. Anyone could see there was something wrong with that.
Kirk shook his head. "Sigh, I got carried away just now. Fortunately, this gentleman kept reminding me and stopping me. I already bowed to express my gratitude. An offer of 120 million is still too expensive. My team won't agree to it."
Forester was nearly ready to explode. He held back his anger and asked through gritted teeth, "How much are you willing to pay, then?"
Kirk's eyes brimmed with tears. "Sorry. I just saw the last page of the catalog, where it said an Artifact would be sold at this auction. So I've decided not to buy anything!"
