The other medal, the Department of Defense Distinguished Service Medal, also offered two choices. The first was to give the equipment of summoned soldiers on your team priority upgrades to more advanced elite equipment. The equipment included helmets, body armor, pistols, and fully automatic submachine guns. In terms of stats, it increased the Attack Power of all summoned soldiers on the team by 20% and their Defense by 30%. The effects lasted until the summoned soldier died. Summoned soldiers called after the medal was used would not benefit from the equipment upgrade. The second choice was to combine it with another medal, increasing the firepower rating of that medal by one level (C-B-A-S).
