Brunhilde's beautiful eyes widened in anger. "Bullshit! How could my Valkyrie's man be a coward? Just you wait. I'll watch him cut your head off with his own hands!"
Kirk chuckled. "Just keep your eyes wide open and watch."
He suddenly lunged forward!
The lightsaber in his hand came crashing down!
Seeing the stubborn kid stick to the same old tactics, Darth Maul's golden, slit-pupil eyes flickered with mockery. He coldly dodged aside!
But at the crucial moment, his speed was somehow just a fraction too slow. Kirk's lightsaber slashed mercilessly into his shoulder!
"Bastard!" Darth Maul leaped up in a fury. The wound hurt, of course, but what he found hardest to accept was the humiliation of being struck by this guy!
Kirk was utterly focused. He didn't want to rely on Brunhilde anymore. He would use his own mastery and understanding of the Force to kill this formidable enemy!
Darth Maul was powerful, but among the many Sith fiends, he was one of the weakest. Kirk believed that if he fought with all his strength, he could surely cut the man down.
Darth Maul swept his lightsaber upward in a reverse strike. His weapon was made by joining two lightsabers back to back, giving it a longer reach. That made this kind of backhanded attack uniquely effective.
Kirk darted nimbly aside, evading the fiend's attack by a hair's breadth. But Darth Maul's strike had only been a feint. His real Killing Move was aimed at Kirk's legs!
This man had been trained as a ninja, and his greatest advantage was his unarmed combat.
Darth Maul kicked Kirk in the shin, nearly knocking him off balance!
With fluid grace, Darth Maul swept his lightsaber through the air, taking advantage of Kirk's unstable footing. Then he thrust it at him!
