They already knew how their companions had been slaughtered by the Order of the Phoenix, and that only three had made it back. Still, they looked at the three unlucky survivors with sympathy. If their master learned they had fled, they would wish they were dead.
Kirk's team finally reached the legendary meeting place.
It was a vast plain, somewhat like the Scottish Highlands: empty and rugged, beneath a boundless sky, with wind sweeping through the grass, yet not a trace of life in sight.
A solitary house stood in the center.
The house looked dilapidated, but it was one of the secret meeting camps the Order of the Phoenix had built with tremendous effort. It was protected by powerful wards and was highly resistant to magical scans. Even Voldemort himself had admitted that once Kirk entered this place, killing him would become extremely difficult.
Although they hadn't been given specific coordinates earlier, the Order of the Phoenix was clearly keeping a close eye on how these peripheral members performed. Once they passed through Voldemort's encirclement, they would eventually be sent the coordinates and told to regroup.
"We're finally here! I've had enough of flying!" Sulexi let out a long breath as his feet touched the plain.
Kirk and Wang Han jumped off their Nimbus 2000s and strode toward the cottage.
But Lupin, Weasley, and several others were pointing their wands at them!
Powerful waves of magical energy locked onto them. The slightest hint of resistance would make the energy erupt and blast them to pieces.
"Easy! Easy, buddy!" Kirk raised both hands to show he meant no harm.
"What was the last thing Moody said to you before you left?" Lupin asked sternly.
"I can only say... good luck to you all." Kirk repeated Moody's final words.
"Remember those
