When Kirk saw the shooting robot, it beeped and flashed, then turned around and flew back the way it had come. A cluster of earthen houses stood there in the desert, forming a maze.
Kirk picked up a small stone and hurled it at the robot.
He didn't have a suitable ranged weapon, but propelled by his Level 20 skill, the stone flew like a cannonball and punched straight through the robot's underbelly.
The robot shuddered and crashed to the ground. After wobbling with a series of beeps, it exploded violently.
"Damn it!" The blast nearly sent Kirk flying. "That bastard Krauser actually used plastic explosives this powerful!"
"Worm!" Krauser's burly figure appeared on the cliff above, looking down at Kirk with arrogant disdain. "You can't even imagine how strong I am. The man you killed was merely one of my subordinates—and the stupidest one, at that. You'll pay dearly for killing him!"
As he spoke, he tossed down a grenade.
A chill flashed in Kirk's eyes. Krauser had gone after Ada several times, nearly causing the beauty he loved to perish. How could he not hate him? Now Krauser was standing in his way again. If he didn't kill the bastard this time, he wouldn't deserve to call himself a man!
