The Parasite fought desperately, but Kirk had a laser scalpel. In the end, it was successfully removed just before it could burst out of Leon's body.
Du Yu watched the enormous Parasite twist in futile defiance on the monitor as the laser eliminated it, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Leon's face had been ashen, and his rapid breathing gradually settled. He drifted into a deep sleep. He would probably be fine before long.
"Has Mori still not returned?" Ada began to worry.
If he took too long to return, it could only mean Whistler had captured him.
"We're heading back to the battlefield right away," Kirk said decisively.
Fifteen minutes later, the helicopter reappeared over the docks.
The docks were a complete mess.
But the gunfire was still intense.
"They're still fighting?" Kirk and Ada exchanged a glance.
Was Mori really that outrageous?

From above, a figure noticeably taller than ordinary people darted among the mountains of shipping containers, fighting a guerrilla war against the mercenaries. Though the mercenaries had the numbers, they couldn't match his extraordinary use of the terrain and tactics. Every time he leaped from the top of a container into their midst, he left a trail of bloodshed.
Whistler, meanwhile, sat in his chair as if nothing were happening, watching Mori's killing spree with great appreciation.
Leon finally came around.
"Where am I?" He opened his eyes and rubbed his head. "Ada? Kirk? Ashley? You're all here? Did you save me?"
Ada smiled faintly. "I think you had a nightmare."
Leon nodded. "The virus they injected into me was about to erupt. But it seems there was a light in my dream that drove out the Parasite trying to steal my mind. Did you save me?"
