"Wow~"
"Are these the Elucidator and Dark Repulser?" Dao Dao Zi curiously examined the display case on the wall of the workshop, asking, "Can I take them down to play with?"
"Sure." Chen Wen reached out, took down the two swords, put the sword belt on Dao Dao Zi, and then inserted the swords into the belt.
Dao Dao Zi immediately transformed into a scruffy swordsman carrying two swords on his back. He struck two poses in the open space of the workshop, then tried to draw the twin swords from behind him—
But they got stuck halfway.
"Lame, lame!" Chi Hun De Tu Zi and Si Jiao Ji applauded and laughed from the side, "The whole thing collapsed, so pathetic!"
Dao Dao Zi sheepishly took the swords off his back and put them back in the display case. "This length is too unfriendly for me."
"Is this the Demon Blade Thousand Blades you're making?" Si Jiao Ji leaned over the messy workbench, looking at the scattered resin fragments all over the table.
"Mm." Chen Wen thought for a moment, turned off the lights in the workshop, then walked to the window and drew the curtains.
The workshop curtains were very thick. Once drawn, the entire room was plunged into darkness. Only the fragments on the table emitted a faint purple glow, illuminating their faces.
"Holy crap!"
"Awesome, it glows?"
"Are you going to glue them back together one by one?"
Chen Wen pulled the curtains open again and walked to the workbench, saying, "I need to mark each of these fragments with a number, then reassemble them and use super glue to bond them."
"Then I'll need to fill the gaps with resin, and possibly use a vacuum pump to avoid air bubbles, which could easily cause them to break."
"I'm also working on the sword hilt. I just finished the pattern, and I still need to polish it."
The trio listened, understanding only half of it. They nodded, took a brief look around, and decided to go wait for their takeout.
Just then, Dao Dao Zi, who was walking at the very back, suddenly called out to Chen Wen and asked, "About when will this sword of yours be finished?"
Chen Wen was taken aback. "Probably by the end of the month. If it's fast, around the 25th or 26th."
"Then can I come find you then to film a video? And borrow this sword?" Dao Dao Zi said, "I'm currently collaborating with Momo on a self-imposed challenge, and your sword has given me some inspiration."
Chen Wen was silent for a moment, thinking of Jiang Qiuyi's previous instructions. He nodded. "Sure, contact me if you need anything."
The group left the workshop. Since the takeout hadn't arrived yet, they sat on the sofa for a while.
After some idle chat, Si Jiao Ji, who was browsing Bilibili, suddenly let out a "Hmm?" and looked up at Chen Wen, then back down at her phone.
"What's up?" the Rabbit next to her asked curiously.
"Uh... isn't this Gu Wen?" Si Jiao Ji showed her phone to the others. It displayed a video—
[Boyfriend Gifts Dagger for Children's Day, Last Time He Gave Wu San...]
Uploader--Xiao Yi and Her Wood.
"This username, Qiuqiu's real name is Jiang Qiuyi, right? Is this your alt account?" Dao Dao Zi asked Jiang Qiuyi.
"Huh?" Jiang Qiuyi, who had just changed back into normal clothes, ran over and immediately smiled happily. "Yeah, is it being recommended?"
"Not sure," Si Jiao Ji said, "but it was pushed to my phone's homepage, and the views have passed ten thousand."
"Not bad, that's just the first video," the Rabbit exclaimed. "Did you link your main account?"
"No, and please don't mention it," Jiang Qiuyi shook her head. "I'm just playing around with this alt account; I don't plan to publicize the connection to my main account for now."
"You're opening up a new territory, a top-tier couple's vlog up!" Si Jiao Ji teased.
Jiang Qiuyi sat down next to Chen Wen and chuckled. "It's been a day since it was posted, and it only has ten thousand views. What top-tier are you talking about."
"It's your first video on a new account, so it's different," Si Jiao Ji shook her head and commented. "I feel like this direction really has potential to be explored."
The takeout arrived.
The group sat at the dining table to eat.
When Jiang Qiuyi went to the restroom, Chen Wen opened her spicy chicken set meal and used his chopsticks to pick out the chili peppers one by one.
"What are you doing?" Dao Dao Zi asked, confused.
"She doesn't eat chili peppers; she always has me pick them out before she eats," Chen Wen replied.
"..."
Si Jiao Ji rubbed her arm. "I think having lunch here was a bad decision."
"Definitely," the Rabbit agreed, nodding. "Your dog food is making me gain weight; I'm going to hold you two accountable."
Dao Dao Zi patted Si Jiao Ji. "If eating too much dog food gives me an upset stomach, does that count as a work-related injury?"
"Yes, but I'm not reimbursing you anyway."
After some banter, they quickly finished lunch. They said goodbye to Chen Wen and Jiang Qiuyi and prepared to head to their next destination.
After seeing them off, the couple returned to the bedroom, planning to take a nap.
Lying on the bed, Jiang Qiuyi held her phone, reading the comments on her alt account's video.
[Half Obsessed, Two Parts Crazy]: Am I pathetic? A single dog like me comes to watch couple's vlogs and smiles like an auntie. Am I sick?
[Breeze Brushing Clothes]: A seasoned single dog naturally seeks out dog food to consume.
[King Zhou Loves Daji]: Burp So full~
[Dragon LOL]: This reminds me of the mental math flashcards I gave my third-grade cousin. (Sly smile)
[There is a Bear in the Northern Darkness]: Giving a dagger as a gift, Jing Ke assassinating the King of Qin, carrying two hairy legs on my shoulders~ (Dog head)
[Master--Yan Yu Fei Hong]: This boyfriend, a conversation killer, confirmed! (Shocked cat.JPG)
[APTX3869 & Yuan]: Xiao Yi: I'm never playing this stupid game again! A few minutes later, Xiao Yi: Ah, it's so good~
[White Sugar is Not Sweet QAQ]: I get it, the difference between me and this blockhead is just my face. It's not about whether he's straight or not!
Jiang Qiuyi looked at these comments, a bright smile on her face, feeling a great sense of accomplishment.
This feeling was something she hadn't experienced in a long time.
Her main account felt like raising a grown child; it was too big to mess with.
Her alternate account, however, was like a newborn baby, making her want to tease it.
"Time for a nap, put your phone away," Chen Wen said as he lay down and pulled up the covers.
"Look, look," Jiang Qiuyi placed her phone in front of him, leaning against him. "The comments are so funny."
"...Mm." Chen Wen was speechless.
He glanced at the stats. In just over half an hour, the view count had already reached twenty thousand. It had probably been featured on some recommendation on the website.
And then there were these comments...
It was strange, why would single people watch this video?
Unable to figure it out, Chen Wen took Jiang Qiuyi's phone, placed it on her bedside table, and tucked her in. "Nap time. I have to continue working on Demon Blade Thousand Blades this afternoon."
"Oh," Jiang Qiuyi pulled Chen Wen's arm and rested her head on it. "Give me your other hand."
Chen Wen closed his eyes to sleep, placing his right hand on his chest and offering it to her.
Jiang Qiuyi clearly wasn't sleepy yet. She took Chen Wen's large hand with her small ones and drew circles on it.
Taking off the ring on her finger, Jiang Qiuyi held Chen Wen's finger with one hand, letting him hold the ring, and then extended her other hand, using Chen Wen's hand to slowly put the ring on herself.
After putting the ring back on, Jiang Qiuyi snuggled into Chen Wen's shoulder and giggled for a while. Feeling sleepy, she held Chen Wen's hand and gradually fell asleep.
[Pu Jie Ri Ji]: Yesterday's recommendation votes were 1500+, and I currently owe 2 updates. I'm a little regretful. I thought you guys would only manage one or two days occasionally, but... if this keeps up, I might owe over twenty chapters by the time it's put on shelves
